Upon ending my last game of this round, I would like to stay in the Soviet Union Division for round 2.

Hi Frederik, you'll have to post again once the established time is agreed upon, after all divisions have finished play, I won't be taking any earlier choices since it would be unfair to the other groups that are still playing. If you prefer to have it so that each player chooses division in order, from #1 to #56, then you can vote for the second option on the poll at the top of the page.

Rounds 6 have begun for the World 2.1 and Germany divisions, and Rounds 7 have begun for the San Francisco, Doodle Earth and Madagascar divisions.

Soviet Union and WWII Poland divisions have finished Stage I play.

2 New Players in the Tournament, Filling in for Inactive Players!

-chopsiu is now in the World 2.1 division in place of jotheconqueror
-azak848 is now in the World 2.1 division in place of insomniacdude

Players' rank (number by names on the standings board) will be changed accordingly. It really will not matter, in the end, since ties will be broken with playoff games.

Expect a standings board update very soon. I apologize for all recent delays.

Standings have been updated, as of April 25, 2:36 P.M. Eastern U.S. Time.

The Madagascar division has finished Stage I play; still waiting on one game in San Francisco and Doodle Earth before they finished Stage I. Then, only Germany and World 2.1 are left (they are both in Round 6).

I am also now considering any arguments for the Selection of Divisions process: whether or not you want it in order, based on seed (#1 picks first, #56 picks division last), or if you prefer all players, regardless of rank, posting their list of preferred divisions after a certain time. I really would like to hear some feedback from the players about this. As of now, the current system (the latter choice) stands.

The San Francisco division has finished Round 7, and therefore Stage I. The Germany division finished Round 6, and its Round 7 has begun. World 2.1 still has 1 game left in Round 6, then we'll begin its Round 7.

). Below is the final standings board. Copernicus leads the way at 7-0, with rishark1969 close behind at 6-1. But we're only 33% of the way in. 2 more stages follow, and for those in the "red box" (33-56), there's still plenty of time to employ your strategy and the dice to fall in your favor.

It is possible there may be a discrepancy or error in the Standings. If there is an error, let me know and I'll check and fix it.

Now, for the Selection of Division. The votes stand 14 to 7 in favor of having a Selection process at an established time, instead of by rank.

Therefore, I have analyzed the countries where all 56 players are located and placed them on the time-zone map below.

I know that I originally mentioned that the Selection would take place on Saturday, but I believe it may work better if it took place in this method:

The Selection of Divisions process shall take place at 6:00 A.M. Greenwich Time on Friday, May 13.

For the conversion to different time zones, find your location on the map above. For instance, if you live in France, simple follow the two red lines to the left and right of France and follow down to the +1. Just below is your time for the Selection Process: 7:00 in the morning

In general, since the majority (34 out of 56) of players living in North America, you will be able to Select your divisions in "primetime" or late evening of THIS THURSDAY.
If you live in Europe, Friday morning, before school or work, is your time to select (the time difference works somewhat nicely, unless you're not a morning person).
Live in Asia? Friday afternoon is the time for you to select.

Essentially, players are advised to go ahead and put together a list of at least your top 3 divisions, with #1 your most preferred and #7 your least preferred (you probably will get your first or second choice, but if not, just in case).

At 6:00 (in the morning) Greenwich mean time, I will post a message that will officially start the Selection process. At that point, you may start posting your list ON THE TOURNAMENT PAGE. It only takes a matter of seconds. I will place players into division on a first-come-first-serve basis. The way CC ranks the posts on the tournament page will be the way I place players into their divisions.

If more than half of the players (33 and above) vote to change the Selection time, I will change it to sometime next week.

The sooner you post, the more likely you are to get a spot in the division you want. The countdown has ended and the Selection of Divisions process has begun!
