I don't know about jnd. From what I've seen in a couple mafia games, he's an easy target. I think we should look elsewhere.

Sorry for not posting sooner, guys, but my sleeping schedual got completly messed up. I can hardly think straight at this point, so my vote stays on Fircoal. I mean, what are the chances that he ISN'T mafia?

Errr, yes and no. First off, I was scum in the game in which I made a big deal about lynching for the sake of lynching, so half of that argument was to try to paralyze the town into a no-lynch at the deadline.
Secondly, the main thrust of that particular argument was more along the lines of "always give people time to role claim before you hammer them." As for the rest, I've slowly come to the conclusion that lynching a townie is better than not lynching at all
on day one, since the most important piece of information we can get is the alignment of that first player. Once we know someone's alignment, and who voted to lynch him, we can start to build a case; a no lynch robs us of that.
So, my opinion on the subject is mixed. On the one hand, I want any lynch we make to be a considered one, but on the other, I think that come deadline, the most important thing we can do is just lynch someone. Thus, the rationale behind posting "I'll change my vote to whomever has the highest vote total come lynch time."
