im not saying he can do it-- but it can certainly be done.

It doesn't work out. When you get up to say 3000, you'll get only 6 points for beating a respectable corporal who may cost you a day's worth of play. The only way it can be done is with tons of 8x multi games, or you can get the 3000+ crowd to play you individually by pissing them off with posts like this one. I'd say that strategy is a little premature, though, since the poster appears to be still quite shy of the 2000-3000 inflection point where you run out of "worthy" opponents. And doing it by 8x multi-games, you aren't showing any skill, just a knack for leverage.
