rest assured that there is a life after death. i will not argue or debate it but if you need truth and fact to base your belief on do some research and see which "bible" is the most historicaly correct. Or if you need "prophetic proof", again do some reading and see. Yes as mentioned before the Christians and muslims believe close to the same thing about the after life and yes the do not like each other. BUt guess what, that is mentioned in the Bible. When Jacob and Esau parted ways it is told that the two families will allways be against each other. Hence the constant fighting between the muslims and Christians. God is real and the line is drawn. No, He will not come after you to make you see you must seek that out for yourself. The choice is yours to make, don't make your life a crap shoot, seek the answers for yourself. No one will be able to "convince" anyone. All a person can do is present the evidence "if you will" and each person must make their own choice. Make sure that the choice you make is the one you can live with.

I liked religion better when it was all zoroastrian - all humanity will be in heaven, no matter what they've done.

Meh, it would take a lot longer to get to that point in squirrels. I'd get tired of them before that point.

there's something wrong with a person who has to conduct their life based on what someone else says or does rather than work it out themselves...why can't they figure out for themselves what's a healthy, appropriate, productive and acceptable way to lead their life and treat other people without having to model it on someone who might never have existed...no actually some people do need some help on this and modelling their behaviour based on a good example (whether it's a not real person or a real person) is necessary for some people who need all the help they can get

I think blind faith is fine, weather it be in God or something easier to imagine as real.

meh........ this sounds like a repeat of the "are atheists smarter than theists?" thread but much simpler. until I can find the true answer, when a person dies, i believe, that if they haven't completed their job on earth yet, they come back and finish it, and if they do complete their job, they go to heaven

While atheism might arguably require some sort of faith, depending on how you define 'atheism' and 'faith', I really do not see how you can possibly arrive at the conclusion that the opinion that the theory of evolution is in essence correct requires faith, whether blind or seeing. Darwin proposed his theory after examining a load of evidence, it has since been refined, expanded and revised time and time again, always as a result of new empirical evidence and new scientific methods. How does the opinion that evolution is an existing natural process require faith?
