I beg to differ. Why would playing some setting they do not like be fun to them? Makes no sense to me to play something you do not like. The difference between someone who stays on the top page and someone who is mid ranked is how well they play what they like. Many mid ranked or low ranking players only play a few settings as well, just do not do it as well.

I am not one of the top players that this thread is about but I do have an opinion on the matter.

I think that many good players avoid certain game types because they are simply not fun. Certain game types rely more on luck than others. For example, I used to play 1v1 a lot but because it depends so much on who goes first, something totally out of my control, I don't play it as much anymore. Before I even take my first turn, it is not cool to see my opponent controlling a continent with 6 men defending it. Yeah this has happened to my benefit but the game is still a result of luck and not skill. Likewise, settings such as flat rate and no cards singles take a long time to finish. Who wants to get involved in a build game? What's more, flat rate is largely dependent on who gets a mixed set when.

Also, it is not fun to play certain low rankers in settings like escalating. The amount of ridiculous, non-strategic moves that are made makes my head hurt.

The only thing that I see that really bugs me is high rankers stalking newbies in 1v1 freestyle. This is pretty dishonorable in my opinion.

What I meant by fun wasn't just playing for points, I meant the entertainment value that somebody gets out of the CC website. I personally would be bored out of my mind playing all 1v1 games against cooks and newbs. If the need to climb the scoreboard drives you to play hundreds and hundreds of games of the same type, then that's fine, but you aren't experiencing all that CC has to offer. Maybe you don't want to. All right then, but you aren't getting your time's worth or money's worth in my opinion. I'm sorry there was such a misunderstanding about my previous post.

FabledIntegral, I thought I'd never have to deal with you again. I'm at least glad to see that you've started playing something besides Standard Freestyle Escalating Unlimited Sunny on Classic. I'm also glad to see that you have literally cut your score in half since then.

And I've cut my score in half intentionally. As I found out that I could win on virtually any map, including having over 50% wins in Doodle assassin, I had to find ways to lower my score. Some players it's nearly impossible to lose to, others, like you, are decent enough that you don't suicide people at the start of the game. Yeah john, you wait until midgame to spontaneously suicide and throw the game - nothing I can do at that point.

Oddly enough the game you suicided me in was FOG and was NOT escalating. The irony!

Maybe I should make it clearer: I'm not saying these people are WRONG, I'm just saying that limiting their game types gives them fewer options and thus lessens the depth of the CC experience.

In all honesty it took me about 30 seconds to look at your recent games, go back a few pages, and Ctrl+F my name on page 3. If someone goes from brigadier to lieutenant within a month, especially the only person I've ever left negative feedback for, I'm going to be curious. I gave you a lengthy feedback because I would never leave a negative without many good reasons. I think my negative was your 20th, and when I found out it was removed I saw that you only had 17... you seem to be actively trying to get your negatives removed. Also, you made a pointless post in this topic for the sole purpose of insulting me.

21,000 players havent been busted for being a multi 3 times and busted for abusing sitting 40 different accounts and logging on to various accounts to get around a chat ban...again abusing accounts while permitting known multis to buy you premium. in fact, your the only player busted for all those things mentioned.

I never once mentioned an ex-girlfriend and there is a good reason for why I have yet to deny an accusation, BECAUSE I WAS NEVER BUSTED FOR CHEATING...rofl

I was accused of being a multi and temporarily busted three times, 1. because my account was hijacked, 2. a mod pushed the wrong button, and 3. because more than one legitimate accounts were set up on the same IP. I have yet to cheat, and your desperate attempts to make yourself feel better about being outranked is purposeless and rather sad, as the fact remains that I have never cheated. I did log into one account to go onto live chat, but that was 25 hours after a ban was instated that was only supposed to last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the same multi that purchased my premium cheated me out of 94 points yet I still remain in the number 2 spot of the scoreboard. Im sorry that you fail as a farmer, but I dont and in fact, I am really good at farming.

If only you worked half as hard at raising your score as you do denying other peoples accomplishments then you might be at my place on the scoreboard; but as hard as it is for you to accept, I am not a cheat, and nothing you can try convincing yourself of will change that.

oh, and whichever admin it was that commented in the thread made it perfectly clear that I was not busted for babysitting abuse, but that we were blocked for the fear that I could abuse my privileges in babysitting.

I honestly got my rank without breaking any of the rules and by playing fairly. Many others have tried to become field marshal and I am one of the few people who have succeeded in doing so. Rank is not a determination of how good you are, it is a determination of how hard you tried, and whether or not you respect me or the games I play has absolutely no factor. I am second on the scoreboard because I took the time and effort to farm hundreds of noobs and to wait patiently for the perfect games to come up for me to join. I am sure that if someone else had the patience and time to farm in the way I have done, others would be up the ranks with me, but the fact of the matter is that no one has, and that alone means that I have accomplished something more than almost anyone else has...I have successfully proven I have no life.

you deserve your rank because you did spend a lot of time farming, but many people, almost all, think the scoreboard runs by skill level and therefore would make you overrated. That is why we need a different scoreboard.

And who would be the one to determine how the scoreboard is divided. Playing against noobs is only one form of farming which doesnt include game specialization and others who only play low rank. Many people only play one specific type of game since the time when they signed up, and whether it is against good players or bad, they continually use it because they feel it is the easiest way to raise their score. There is no reason why that as well should not be considered farming.

Maybe a scoreboard that allows you only to play those in your own skill level. It should be split all those from 0-1200 play eachother, 1201-1799 play eachother and 1800-~~~~ eachother. those in the lowest third are pretty bad and deserve to practice on themselves. The middle group is a group that holds those who know how to play and enjoy playing. The highest third group is a group who knows strategy (or should at least) and should only hold the best. I wonder if this will actually work.
