It looks brighter in the large map because it is just bigger. Looks fine though. Any duller and it loses its flare.

I did one, and while i like the colours of this revamp, are you happy with them....i.e. the difference between Norway and Finland colours for deuteranope.

Yes, Finland & Norway look quite similar with CB filters (as do Sweden & Iceland), but I don't think it matters that much - there's the minimap that tells which bonus is which, and the bonus names should be plenty of indication which belong to which country...

I think it's good enough as long as the bonus area boundaries are clear. They seem clear enough to me...

Is it just me or does the color blind version look better than the current one? At least Denmark! it looks better as brown than green!

Have you considered a different style of text for the capitals? I'm not completely sold on the italics, myself. Again, a largely minor item.

Just FYI, I am looking at this, I just have a really slow connection, so I can't post pics of my nitpicks. I'll get to it when I have better service.

This does look quite a bit better than your original, but I feel the mountains could still use some TLC. I especially dislike the blunt ending in Trondelag, but generally they just look foamy. They should look rough and sharp, with some deep relief between them - not just one long puffy white line.

Are the green blobs also mountains? Why are they green? If they are supposed to be forested, they still wouldn't be bright green. There aren't many trees on mountain tops. If you must add some color though, try just a hint around the edges, and make the alpine peaks white.

I think I generally agree with lostinlimbo, the impassable's are lacking and the main thing that holds this map back. For the most part everything else is fine. I don't think they need TLC, I think you need to scrap them and take a different approach. Find something that fits better this the overall theme of the map.

But that is just my opinion.

Those forests look worse IMO. The previous ones, though not great where better.
