Also note: "Acting like a dick" is not the same as "You are a dick"

"Acting like a dick" is an observation of a certain style of behavior, usually not commonly displayed by the individual. Not then truly a flame.

"You are a dick" is a judgment passed on an evaluation of ones character. This being an opinion, would then be properly considered a flame.

So to conclude, I don't think Owen IS a dick, but he has the potential to act like one.
