Great map...first time i've seen this large version, very nice graphics.

I understand bonus discussions are still taking place.

Some other issues Gabrioche:
1. South-west Brazil should be North-West Brazil, yes?
2. Some terts like North Korea and South China could be moved away a bit from their army circles.

Could we see a small version please in the very near future....this needs progressing! :)

Depressing as it sounds, I doubt he's coming back. Somebody else should take over this idea.

It is "Pangea" in the future...it is a futuristic version of Pangea when all the land masses converge upon eachother again...get it?

This is a great map and I'd like to work it out when the creater doesn't come back...but I think that will be very difficulut without a photoshop file to work on the layers...

He was in the middle of development when he disappeared.

In the terr called East Arabia there is not a single Arabic nation or people today (that might be different 250 million years from now, but still...). I suggest to rename it Mideast or something. West Arabia is the actual Arabia.

If the maker comes back I might hand in a whole set of new names, because many of the current names are topographically highly inaccurate.

Love the idea though. For those who don't understand plate tectonics and how this might lead to a Pangaea Ultima supercontinent shaped like this, see: http://www.scotese.com/earth.htm and http://www.scotese.com/earth.htm. Might be interesting to show the development from modern earth to Pangaea Ultima in a few small images on the sides of the map, so players understand better what they are playing on.

Hey, hello everybody!!!! I'm back!

I'm really sorry for leaving this forum for so long. It's been a long time that you had no news and you maybe wonder if that map could ever be finished.
I apologize.

I had to leave home during the summer and then I started college and I've been very-very busy so I didn't really have the time to work on the map.

But I promised that I would finish the map!
I don't have time right away but I think I'm gonna work on it next weekend. I will read ALL the messages and comments you've posted and I will try to follow your advices!

I'll first finish the visuals (wich are already quite good in my opinion) and then I'll go on the code.
I wont be for tomorrow but for soon!

I swear that I'll finish this map and we'll all play on it soon!!!!!!!!!!

i think you should combine north west africa and north africa into one teritory called "the north sahara ice cap"

Sweet, thanks for coming back, here is what i think that you need to do:
Image

1- make a passage way at the bottom of south africa and to north brazil and one on the other side to conect south africa and america basin.
2-split up africa and asia into 2 bonuses instead of one.

disclaimer: this point is both trifling and nationalistic

england should probably be scotland given that england is flat and falling into the sea whereas scotland is mountainous and sturdy. vive!

He's back!

I still think the countries should not be named after countries but rather after the areas / regions. Alps, Himalayas, Borneo, you get it.

Ehm, Yah, except that it doesn't matter - at that point they'll be covered by a sheet of ice anyways!

Hmm. Maybe an ice sheet over the new North Pole should be included?

Yesss... but the way this world is going we'll be gone in less than 200 years if nothing changes so it wouldn't be acurate.... :D

Just a lil update:
Image

As you can see, I put a kind of "compass". I find it pretty cool.
Tell me what you think of it

And I think I will put some stars in the space around the map, could be nice
Add comments!

i think stars would be good. I was also wondering whether you can put clouds or waves or something so that the water doesnt seem so boring

I don't like the the thing with stars...I think the water you had before was way better...

And keep the shadow of the land...it looked better, now everything looks to flat...

hem, sorry I just forgot to put shadows back....

Some things:

The earth just -ends- what's up with that? I think it was cooler with the ocean stretching everywhere.

Compass is VERY iffy ATM

Without shadows looks awkward

Right now if you hold asia and europe you only have to defend from three territs, yet you get a huge bonus. This needs fixing. I suggest a africa - europe route, maybe two (think Ukraine to Egypt and Chukotka to Alaska).

North in North America?

See previous complaints about territory names.
