Vote Iliad
Someone is a little too eager to hammer there. Too bad for you I unvoted in my last post, so Iliad should still be at L-1.
I'm still playing under the assumption that the cult can only recruit vanilla townies, so this talk about Iliad being recruited into the cult doesn't make any sense to me. It looks to me like some people realized that Iliad still has a vig kill left and want to get rid of him before he has a chance to use it.
I would like to request nobody hammers Iliad until I've at least gotten my chance for a reread. There's no deadline as far as I know, so no need to rush this. Until then, I'll leave my vote on mr. hammertime.
Vote william18.
PS: it would be nice if somebody else removed his vote from Iliad too, so nobody can quicklynch him.
Ohh, I was under the usumption that recruiters could recruit anyone. If I knew that I wouldn't have done the so-called hammer.
As was I

Anyway,
Unvote for now so there is not a quick lynch.

I can't manage a full reread any time soon, so instead I looked up the vote counts at the end of each day.
DAY 1 wrote:Vote Count:
Firth (2)– Spurg, Selin
Rebelman (1) The1exile,
IceDagger (4) Clive, Serbia, LSU, Garlic Muncher
Fircoal (16 ) IceDagger, Tonka, Nark, f1fth, firth, Crab, Mandy, Baby Talapus, MountainLion, Baby Skittles!, , Fircoal, Dustn, Illy-child, Kernal Kronic, Gimpy, Militant, Skoffmeister.
Selin (1) Gimpy
/ (1) Neutrino
Clive (1) Rebel
Skoffin (1) Wicked
With 31 1/2 votes in total it takes 16 for a lynch..
Thats a lynch I believe, you'll have to wait for me to get my act together before a death scene is produced..
DAY 2 wrote:Vote Count:
Nark (15) Mandy, Selin, Firth, Icedagger, Dustn, Exile, Talapus, Rebel , AnarkistsDream, Neutrino, Tonka, Sierra, LSU , Skittles, Crab, Iliad
Dustn (1) Clive
Militant (1) Diddle
Rebel (1 ) Lord Voldemort,

13 to lynch!
Death scene will be up in the next hour or so....

Conclusions:
Iliad, Mandy, Tonka and icedagger were on all 4 lynches. Illy and Tonka were in on the AD lynch pretty late, so could be cult.
William and Militant were on none of the lynches. Makes sense since they're replacing someone who was inactive.
Mandy, Icedagger, Exile and Talapus were probably not cult at the time of the AD lynch, so are not the recruiter.
Mandy, Tonka and icedagger are probably not mafia because they were in on the Clive lynch pretty quick.
-> Mandy and icedagger are probably town, unless recruited to cult after day 2.
Lord voldemort and Skoffin were only in on the townie lynch. Judging by the voting statistics, they have the highest probability of not being town. We know Skoffin always does this, but it's unusual for LoVo. I looked back to find some posts of him. I couldn't find anything worth quoting until I came across this post in day 2:
lord voldemort wrote:im happy to beleive ad for now
as long as he is bent to the will of town of coarse
nag would give out his role if he was investigated so we can assume if he gets anything but wat he has claimed (if we investigate) then he can be lynched strait away
and a vote count would be handy nick...who i think has gone out for the day
Besides the fact that his last actual contribution to the game is found way back in day 2, that contribution consists of defending the cult day vig. This has gotten me pretty convinced
LoVo is cult. Possibly the cult recruiter.
Unvote, vote lord lordemort

I am willing to trust you on this one, just to apply some more pressure, and get LoVo talking.

Actually, I know lovo's role name, and can guess at least a part of his role and think it's very unlikely that he's cult (or indeed at all recruitable). there's also the fact that he's submarining so much, any good cult wouldn't bother recruiting him as he would be either a) useless or b) sticking out like a sore thumb when he perked up and started participating.

You know, we may have just reached the point where it's time to name claim or something. We don't seem to be getting anywhere with this.

honestly, i think we might just have to make a choice as much as anything. While it goes both ways...either we try to keep whoever is the cult leader guessing about where we are alignment wise or we try and find the cult through name claims, i dont know which one is better.
I mean we have had a few people who were close today, and then people decided to step away and kind of killed some of the momentum.
I think its quite possible william is cult, iliad very well may be cult, and exile has stumbled around quietly enough that he concievably could be cult.

Talapus wrote:You know, we may have just reached the point where it's time to name claim or something. We don't seem to be getting anywhere with this.
This has been going through my head too. It's problematic though:
1) Not all roles appear to have names to go with them. Scum could easily claim to be an unnamed townie instead of having to fake-claim a name.
2) Cult might be able to tell who is recruitable from the names. It's possibly they can only recruit unnamed (vanilla?) townies.
If we're going to do this, I would suggest a full mass-claim (name and role with past night results), not just a mass name claim. Putting aside the fact that this might help the cult in the same way as the mass name claim, it would at least give pro-town power-roles a chance to catch scum in a lie. If no good target presents itself, lynching a claimed unnamed role would be our best hope of catching scum.

As I mentioned earlier, I think anyone's who name is green can be recruited. So not just vanilla townies.

Green = unnamed from the looks of it. Only odd one out is /, who had an unnamed blue role.

if thats going to happen though, we need anyone whose replaced to get their actions backlogged to the beginning of the gamem, to nip that backdoor before it can actually be built in.

Agreed.
Also, we should make a rule about in which order to claim. I suggest the so-called popcorn-method: the last one to claim gets to point out the next person to claim. I would like
everyone to confirm that they understand what we're going to do here and that they're willing to participate. It would be pointless if half-way the claim somebody came out and said "I never agreed to this, so I'm not claiming".

Oh good point.
I'm not sure if a mass claim would be too useful, as the majority of the mafia seems to be dead and recruited cult could just claim honestly. There'd only have to be 3 or 4 people who have to make something up probably, while we'd be providing cult and mafia with a lot of info

that is the issue...other than finding emilio (the only one worth finding) we might not actually get a whole lot of information.
But the only real route other than this at the moment is to figure out which groups of people make the most sense as far as recruit partners.
Its quite possible theres no barzini (in name) other than emilio.

First off, I hate mass claims as that does defeat the whole purpose of playing. Secondly, I also agree that the claim would just help out the cult much more instead of helping us figure out the claim. Thirdly, I've already done my name and claim.

I like to keep them guessing, but I really do hate the mass claims. If we're going to do that why not just do it on day 1 and lynch anyone that has a scummy sounding name instead of actually playing the game.

It not about the names in this case, as people could just claim nameless townie if they wanted to lie. It's about catching for instance a cult recruiter claiming vanilla, caught in his lie by a tracker who saw him visit someone 3 nights ago. You can't pull stuff like that on day 1. For day 5, it's a pretty good way to catch scum. (this example is also why the order is important: you really want the recruiter to claim before the tracker does)

In regards to claiming actions, that is perfectly fine. I just hate the old nameclaim game. Actions can easily be determined through watchers, trackers, etc... I would not be opposed to people claiming actions although this might cause some of the remaining power roles to put a big target on their back.
