In game
http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=6433780 eddie2 got a -1 penalization for tapping. So there is at least one precedent. I am sure that there are another examples, but I don't remember.
I think you are mistaking "Conquering" with "Attacking". Tapping = Attacking even if Tapping < > Conquering.
Anyway, the important things are to settle the misunderstanding and to avoid it to happen again. I think that after this issue, things are clear

you won 2 games? if you used tapping in these games aswell then you should be removed or getting stripped of your points.
tapping clearly makes a difference to a game.
In my humble opinion, it is very clear. Tapping = Attacking. Attacking is any kind of action that involves fight, combat, or wathever we want to call it. Also, as a result of tapping, armies are lost. This is a violation of the AA rule.
I monitor taping in my games when I can, but it is quite difficult because it leaves no trace in the log, and comparing with BOB screenshots sometimes takes lots of time.
All players should be monitoring the rules, because it's easy to break them.
You are right. Ok I correct myself. I wanted to say "It leaves ALMOST no trace in the log and it's difficult to see"

hi oliver it can leave a log trace in the game like this game if it was looked at straight away because i was just deploying with my borders protected and not forting out so to come back with 1 troup on the tert does show it in the log.

edit
ok for points
winning team
8 points each for winning depending on how many players are left
losing team
1 point each per kill (deducted from the winning team)
what you guys think

If we want to do some team games, we'll do it outside of this tournament - either in an AA team tournament or in private games. I think it would skew the points too much to have team games, plus would change the dynamic of the tournament too much.

Hey, I would love to try Draknor, 4 players, sunny, chained. I'm wondering if 2 boards could be made, one with flat rate and other with escalating cards.
Thanks for the invitation jake

I think we have tried most of the map combination by now. Perhaps would be interesting to repeat some maps? Or to just try one random round and see what we get

Thanks in the advance, fm.

Yeah, on second thought, maybe AOR3 isn't the best map for AA

I was thinking AOR3 because it would encourage people to use all of the bonuses that you get for each different race... but yeah, Sanctuary would make it way too easy to win.

Really? In my opinion the AOR series is better played as AA than as UA

I can see the issue with the sanctuary in AoR3. You have a number of +1 bonuses you can get right off. Other players would take two turns (at least) to get to their port or Rune. However, you can't stack on those spaces, just on the port itself (because of the -10). I think it's worth a shot playing it.

Wow, that's quite a hike in rank for me... I wasn't expecting that at all.. was hoping for maybe 10th place after doing well in the few games that I've played.

Here's another map suggestion:
City Mogul, No Spoils, Chained
Maybe those middle areas that bombard stuff will actually get some proper use in an AA game

Another suggestion:
Conquer Man, Flat rate spoils, chained
I wonder if play experience will be different from the escalating game we are playing. In fact I hope it will be different

You had very high positions in all your games. So you acumulated points quickly

Tanarri has posted in game chat that i have violated the AA rules on both my last turns. As far as i was aware, i thought you were allowed to go through killer neutral zones such as Tombi & Yta (as they reduce your armies by -1 each turn), but obviously not the Rune territories as they afford you a bonus for holding them.
Please could someone advise if this is correct.
Thanks. Kato

Killer neutrals are territories that automatically reset to neutral player each turn. They are not territories that decrease owner's armies. So I am afraid that you made a mistake.

Having said that, I have to say that riodeishere comments in the game chat are completely out of place, and it's not needed to speak in that tone, neither to insult anyone.

Posted in game chat : - ok, as it should have taken me 4 turns to get to where i am instead of the the 2 it did, i will have recieved an extra 6 troops next turn. as i should only be getting 7 troops next turn, i will deploy 1 troop only & then let time run out. hopefully this will address the issue of the extra troops i have been getting, i will obviously make no attacks next turn. the following turn, i will be at a position i should have been, had i only taken a single territory each turn, again i will only deploy 7 troops, instead of the 9 i get for the 2nd rune i hold. Again no attacks. then i will be in a position to be able to deploy my full troops & make attacks again. sorry for the error. i hope this helps to rectify it on my side.
