Yah he did and he looked quite happy today and energetic.
I hope it rains in the final and he goes and launches himself into a puddle surf in that nice suit.

That would be the highlight of the tourney.

USA against England in minutes!
You hate the USA? Well you might as well burn your car then. And burn your suit and tie. Because none of this would be possible without 6 white stripes, 7 red stripes and a hell of a lot of stars!
Let's do it Donovan!

Oh, ok, here's a ball rolling at me. It's going about 5 miles per hour and a little bouncy. Man, when we win this game, my wife is gonna suck my co...wait...s***...the ball's slipping...uh oh...

England fans will never let him off the hook but that was a harder play than it looked. The second hop was a quick short hop on a wet field. Baseball players make those types of errors on balls like that all the time.

This just in...England gk commits suicide..
you cant blame that on a bad hop....a bad hop is copping one in the face...
he just got a bad read on the ball/he was really really nervous like a lil school kid

I wouldn't say ALL the time. GOOD defensive baseball players know that you have to get your entire body in front of the ball. Green half-assed it and paid the price.

ya in the slowmo replay it poped right before it hit his hands.. but ohhhhhhhhh man i loved it his face was that of a toddler learning how to catch a ball. Kinda like the kid in the sandlot when he tries to throw the ball back.. and fails by throwing it right into the ground:D.

I disagree. He showed no signs of nerves at any time. Even after the ball squirted through, he was composed. A goalie should come up with that play, I'll say. But I'm still saying that play had a harder degree of difficulty than fans will be willing to recognize. It's like a wide receiver dropping a ball across the middle that hits him square in the hands. Yea he should have caught it, but there is mitigating factor.

Even a good short stop is going to have a fielding percentage of .995. That was the half percent error right there. LOL - I knew someone would zoom in on that 'all the time.'

But he's starting in the World Cup AS A GOALIE. HE'S THE BEST IN HIS COUNTRY AT THIS. Yes, I'll admit it wasn't a cakewalk, but he should've caught it no problem. As I said before, GET YOUR WHOLE BODY IN FRONT OF THE BALL.
And just because someone looks composed doesn't mean he isn't pissing his pants.

id say its more like a catcher dropping a ball after a sac fly when the runner is hosed by half a basepath...no pressure he is just a chump
he half assed it....a good short stop wont error a routine ground ball...and he will still keep the ball in front...
first thing i learnt playing if....keep your body behind it..so it keeps the ball in front

Routine balls in baseball are not the ones with a short hop. That ball clearly hopped up on him.
I agree that if his body was fully behind it then yea he would have knocked it down. But he was trying to catch what he thought was a routine ball before the hop. And goalies are taught to make that judgment otherwise they'd give up extra rebound goals.

Nope we won't. He's now officially a useless twat! My Granny could've saved that and she's been dead for 35yrs... To be honest though, we're well used to our goalies doing fucking stupid things so, yes we're heartily disappointed but, at the same time, we've seen it all before, unfortunately!
You guys did actually play well for long spells though. Who's the beardy Muslim-looking one again? He did alright...
Still gonna be England 1st USA 2nd

just for once in your goddam pointless life - just shut the f*ck up until everyone gets out of the group. That's where my bets kick in, and I'm gonna win some points amigo.
You fancy a bet me old mucker?

I believe you mean Onyewu. He's great. Isn't he the one that plays for a Belgian team? Was it Anderlecht?
