with that, the first round is FINALLY done and the last group decided: killmanic, graulenst, longboreder and blockhead15 are all through. Jako didn't quite make it and I thank him for his consistent play.

It would be nice to get updates....I would really like that. At least posts from the tournament director about what is going on with the games on a regular basis. I think everyone else feels the same. THANK YOU!!!

indeed they are.. with the final group #2 game still going, we can be sure of the final group!
Congratulations to herndawg, graulenst, banana_hammocks, longboreder, Dunk90, Junpai, AtreidesHouse and wmlawman to making the final 8 and thanks to the 8 who didn't quite make it for being such active participants.

Standings and games have been updated to game 3 of the finals
banana_hammocks is off to an early lead with longboreder and herndawg close behind.. 5 games to go!

CONGRATULATIONS TO BANANA_HAMMOCKS!!
After playing an excellent tournament, you all deserve many thanks for hanging around for the better part of a year and congrats to all the big winners point-wise. I'm debating a 2nd version of this that will hopefully be MUCH quicker by making it all escalating, 6 player games with more groups. You'll all be the first to know if I do.
