How about no words! Show it graphically with a 3x3 square and arrows showing all attack directions from the center space.
The bonus description is too long and involved and seems to suggest that all of your rows have to fall in a 4x4 grid (you only have a single example that exceeds the 4x4). You should say "4-in-a-rows" or "conquer-4"s can only share one space. Show an example of a +2 row, a couple +4 combos and then you should show a couple counter examples (sharing 2 or 3 spaces so no bonus) - examples of how not to get a bonus.
Since the board is bigger than 4x4 the other examples seem arbitrary and distract from the simplicity of the scoring rule.
If you simplify that there is plenty of room for the attack direction diagram!

That is the first confusing thing I have read in this thread

Adjacently is not a simple word for the not english people, why not try something like this: you can attack every space that borders your country, horizontal, vertical & diagonal

I like an attack Diagram - that might sort stuff out...

The idea of attacking vertical, horizontal and diagonal spaces is not hard!!!!
What is hard to follow and understand are the bonuses you receive for???
Im sorry to say but it seems that you will always have at least 4 lpaces from where you can be attacked...
I just cant see this Map working at all....
There are a few die-hards followers but to be frank not many people are gonna play this Map!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any way to modify the Grease Monkey Script that already shows number of Territories/Armies/Next turn Armies (without Bonus)
AND ADD Continent Bonus. That would help out a lot with this game.
You might not easily see a bonus another player has, but if the computer tells you they are getting 8 bonus, you will have a better time looking for it.

And again, you have made your point. Why keep posting the same thing over and over again. Keyogi wont stop making this map because you dont like it. Your point has been made. Everyone understands that you dont like this map and you think it wont work. Do you actually have anything NEW to add?
The poll was roughly 60% in favour.
Every map is going to have its "die hard followers" and people that dont like it. Does that mean if 1 person keeps posting in any map thread that they dont like the map the map maker should stop making it? No.
If Keyogi wants to continue the map, shut up and let him finish it.

Er... that's the whole premise of the map isn't it? Connect 4 = 4 territories = 4 borders... Yes getting bonuses will be very tricky - but that's the idea...

Would it perhaps be easier for people to understand if bonuses cannot overlap? I don't think it's an ideal solution, but would it reduce the confusion? There'd be a lot less potential bonuses, but maybe they could be worth more?

Facts are Teya:
1. i wont shut up. i am free to voice my opinon
2. I have a valid point in sayin that bonuses are confusing
3. i dont think keyogi will stop making map for one person!!
However, this map has to be mad my simple....Because this map will be made for the whole CC community not just for a few die hard supporters.
Objections and critiscims are good so that you can over come them and get to the real problem

Teya and I aren't the same person. That's just creepy. and max isn't me either, we are up to 3 since your last post, could you stop wasting our time and move on?
Back to the topic. I don't see much more needs to be done, has anything happened since the last update? If not could you talk to Andy about getting it in?

Perhaps,
Lets take a look at the latest images, and see where we can go.

This is still the latest image. I'm trying to figure out a way make it clearer that you can attack diagonally. Is the bonus system clear enough? I really think it is, especially with the larger bonuses having a written description as well.
I'll work on a large version for the next update, but the map will remain largely unchanged. I plan on just expanding the Bonus Guide as the actual playing area looks bad with big spaces.

I think the map needs some more texture. I quickly did this based off of the last map update. I added a camo style texture to the background. That do you think?

looks better, make a sort of texture doesn't matter what
you can use something that it looks like metal, or plastic that would even be better
and to make it clear that you can also attack diagonal just put after the first liune of text "(so also diagonal)"

I had played around with textures and background images after the CC style update. I was going for a sort of metal tank like texture but I liked the original clean look better. Maybe it's a polished tank!?!
If people would like to see some texture or something added, I'll include it in the next update.

The texture makes me vomit.

I think the clean gray looks and feels nice.
