No, they would be Central, Northern, Western and Eastern. MSU or State works, because none of the other schools have State in their name. Besides your incorrect assumption that Macomb is a university (it's a community college) Why do you even care that UM has a good football program? It's not like you have any more ties to it than to MSU, or WSU, or OU. You're just a bandwagon fan.

University of Texas is Texas
University of Florida is Florida
University of Oklahoma is Oklahoma
University of California is California, or Cal

Point being, all these states have other equally famous major universities. Is it wrong for them all to be "arrogant", and refer to themselves as though "they are the only university in the state"?

And for my connection to Michigan, my Dad went to school there. for 2 weeks, playing in the band But really, since I didn't attend any university, or high school for that matter, am I not allowed to cheer for ANY school????

No, I really enjoy the humour of the moment during their Thanksgiving Day loss. Dad and I sit together and laugh at the Lions, and all the stupid things they'll do during a game. SOL really means "same old Lions". Whenever they do something good, it's either a shock, or vaguely like the Wolverines. But this year, I'll try not to sleep through any of it Luns. :wink:

If your Dad went, I rescind my bandwagon statement. But in general, if you never attended, and no family member attended, but you cheer, yes, you're a bandwagon fan.
