Elton did a concert in Moscow once which was just him on piano/vocals and his percussionist. I'm not that big a fan of Elton normally, but that was incredibly good. I had a tape of it (and others of many other people's fine live performances) but dozens were destroyed in a freak accident.

Great songs, but I'd counter with;

...Piano Man
...Only the Good Die Young
...Rockin' in the Free World
...My Life

I enjoy the music of both, so......

... I thought Rockin' in the Free World was Neil Young.

... Or do they both have songs with the same title?

...

It was but he also had a lot more great songs that aren't on this list.

Seriously though Wolfie, Bob Dylan as a song writer was awesome, some of my favorite Grateful Dead songs are covers of Dylan's work, When I Paint My Masterpiece as sung by Bob Weir is one of my all time favorites. However Bob Dylan actually being allowed to sing, well that should have been outlawed in the early 60's, upon pain of death. I mean really he sounds like someone who is terminally constipated, yet still insists on trying to go.

And sadly I have seen him live on several occasions when he opened up for The Dead. I would have skipped him and stayed in the parking lot, with the whip-its, however general-admission prompted me to endure his buzz wreaking screeching.

Truthfully I used to think so too but his voice has actually grown on me now. or at least doesn't bug me as much except for some of his bad live stuff (he has a lot of good and a lot fo bad stuff live)

But I should stop before I completely hijack the thread.

This is correct. In fact, I always considered Kenny Rogers to have "Bob Dylan Disease" (though for a different reason - that being Kenny's complete lack of a singing voice). LOVE his songs though.
