Mine stalled out unexpectedly, too. I thought there would be a better response to the tournaments, as well, especially considering that your explanation for the scoring formula is easy to understand.

Good effort anyway and it will still be a blast even without a full 64...you may want to put the sign-up deadline date in your header. Just a thought.

Thanks for the advice. I just updated the header. We have 23 I am hoping to get at least 32 by Friday night and then I will send it out to get it started.

im wrecking this series

So far we have had several games finished and one player has already advanced to the next round. I will keep trying to update scores every night if there are more to update.

I have a question about scoring: In Game 6420471, I deployed a total of 89 troops and won in round 5. I thought my score would be 5/9, but you have 3/5. How was this calculated?

If I worked the formula correctly...Delaware beats Oregon State 60-39

he messed up on mine to but is still won 5 of 7 so no need to waste time unless i somehow end up losing

is my opponent ever going to play against more, or since he hasnt joined the games do I advance?

Ok as far as the scoring goes. I am going by the round that the game was finished in for the shot % but I am only counting troop deployment in rounds where both opponents had a turn to deploy troops to keep it fair. The shots might not always be exact in the spreedsheet because sometimes it ends up like 7.7 or something. I use the decimal against the % to get shots made and then round the shots made to the next whole number and do the same with the shots.

I will PM your opponent and tell him that he has until tomorrow night to join or he will forfeit and you will move to the next round.

No problem. Sorry for the confusion. I will have all games as of right now up in the next 5 to 10 minutes.

Yes...doing the rounds that way makes it as fair as possible to compensate for a player having first turn.

Thank you Flex, it was a real dogfight, i feel really good though having beat the guy who makes these tourneys usually... feela like i went 12 rounds with iron mike... or worse... MY WIFE!!!

Good Tourney CDL. Crazy how I win 4 out of 7 matches and lose in a squeaker. That marathon on the classic and the ass whippin you handed me on the Prison break just gave you the edge. Too bad all troop deployments don't count. Would work better for the game winner, since it's still troops deployed, but that could just be sour grapes too.
Overall enjoyed the tourney.

Ok Round 1 has one game left to finish and then we will be starting round 2 with 16 teams left. I hope to be sending these games out tomorrow night. It just depends on when that last game finishes. I will PM all games to each player and put it in the thread when the second round has started.
