Am I alone in thinking the results would look better written W-T-L (rather than W-L-T) as I find the losing result put in the centre is somewhat deceptive?
5-2-0 should be superior to 5-0-2, yet that's not how it appears. Small matter, but more aesthetically pleasing (and more logical). Thanks :D

(oh...and rank the clans based on Win %)

You crazy europeans and your soccer. jp was right in that its WLT in North America and WTL with you soccer hooligans. Just a matter of what you are used to.

Nice job on the ladder jp. And anyone who thinks they are undervalued could actually undergo a clan war sometime this year and prove it. (not pointing any fingers.. cough...KORT...cough) :)
No Europeans play soccer...

I am aware of that, I was being deliberately pedantic. Us British loathe at the thought of football being described as 'soccer'.

Likely in 2 weeks when league is near completed.

this is the first ive seen this. though i dont agree with everything on here... i think it will do the job and is probably one of the more accurate ones so far. nice job jp... no complaints here. LoW will just have to continue charging until we get back to #2, then we will overthrow THOTA for #1 like we came so closely to months ago...

also i agree... it should be WLT not WTL

Great

Thanks for the fast reply, I know you have put a lot of work into the ranking system. I am interested to see where we fall

Well I can add another column later I guess then and give it a special color for our special European friends.

Or we could come up with rules that allow for sudden death so there are no more ties. That would eliminate the problem entirely. Perhaps instead of 40 or 60 games it could be 41 or 61 games. :D (I realize it could take up to 2 years for the remaining ties to be gone from the ladder)

... why does the Nemesis vs. Empire war count? Nemesis did not become an A clan until after our war with BSS... This seems like manipulation of data, which is why I think that the whole A-B system is bad because it doesn't count some wars.

This idea FTW. Why not make it best of 3: 1 dubs, 1 trips, and 1 quads. How would the maps and settings be decided?

Haha corey I don't think it should be discounted (although neither should some the others imo). Empire whipped us amd we deserve to be marked down for it, myth look like they are on their way to being a-rated though so does that mean our rank will go up?

That's exactly my point. I think that all wars should count, but that if they're only going to count certain battles (A vs. A, and discount the A vs. B), they should discount all of the wars that meet that criteria, and not selectively enforce it. If JP's going to discount all of our wins vs. what are now considered B clans, why should he not discount our loss to an A clan when we were still considered a B clan?

did you use this formula
wp*((owp/50)*(oowp/50)

It is a lot more complicated than that.....but it does follow that general principle.

sorry if you've been asked before, I skipped the thread but does conquercup count towards the ladder rankings? because if it does Legion is about to take down ID in that.
Also we recently defeated O&H in a proper war. Don't know if that is counted in yet but I figured I'd mention it. :)

It would qualify, and yes I'm inclined to include the 40+ series. I'm currently (as we speak actually) trying to figure out how to include A&B together as it's one of the key requests around the ladder.
