The first couple of games have finished (congrats to theheadholes on the first victory)! I'll update the standings later

All groups which have at least one completed game have had their standings updated in the main post. The first group (El Burro) has finished and ended in a tie both for points and for games won.
If no other groups finish in this way, I'll put both players through to the final and make it an 8-man final game. If another group finishes tied on both points and games won, then I'll use the least number of rounds taken to win the contestants respective winning games as a tie-breaker. If this is also tied (!!), I'll just use random.org.

If anyone has any better ideas or suggestions on how to break the tie, or if anyone thinks that this is particularly unfair, please post here or forever hold your peace!

First off - great tourney.

It's your tourney, so I'll agree to all for your tie breaking rules, except the random selection. I think you should make it a 2player tiebreak with the same settings. winner moves on, loser goes home. would suck to play this far, and lose to a flip of a coin

Fair point, although one-vs-one prison riot games usually go to the player who goes first, so it's a bit of a coin toss either way. I hope that none of the groups will end up in that state (and the one group which has finished tied has an outright winner in rounds played), so I hope I don't have to make that call.
I do agree that losing out by random.org would suck, so if it comes down to it, I'll make it a 1v1 game to decide. Thanks for the feedback.

More games have finished and the standings have been updated. In the Guards group, it looks like briggs1209 is playing the role of Warden, with an unassailable lead of 8 points with only one game remaining. The Kaiser group is locked at 5-5 between jeraado and wolphe_ii, but there's all to play for with two games remaining.

The Kaiser group finished with jeraado taking the spot in the final group, congrats!He joins briggs1209 from the Guards and Darwins_Bane from El Burro.

Only 3 groups left to finish now before the big final.

The penultimate group has finished and rockfist is the King of the New Fish, winning all four group games! Congrats!
The final group yet to finish (Don Vichi) is still all to play for with one game still remaining, with mwcc, noddy_nuts and Mizzou3181 fighting for the win and Captain_Morgan13 fighting to not end the group stage as the only player on negative points! Good luck to all four.
