Also I would suggest that the matchup in the Final 2 should go on until one player is able to BOTH win a game AND have the best haiku submitted for that round.

I did think about that and decided that, in the end, it's tough to write poems when you're dead, so the winner will simply be the winner. Thanks for the suggestion.
Also, since we now have what I have arbitrarily decided is a sufficient number of players I am going to keep the tournament open until the end of the month at which point I will close registration, saving the last few people who sign up as reserves. Thank you all for your patience.
