This seems the most reasonable. It's Secret Diplomacy Light, but that doesn't make it good. I kinda like Mc Lor, but he did slip his toe over the line. A PM should be enough.

If he said "give me an easy card spot in 123456" or "give me an easy card spot in south america" then I guess some could think it was diplomacy. All he has done is remind someone of basic strategy in escalating games. How the hell can this be seen as secret diplomacy???
This is called "working as hard as you possibly can to excuse something".
ok

but c'mon, how can asking for a card spot be secret diplomacy?
I'll be the first to admit that it's a very "light" violation, and I'm sure most folks in the thread would agree. But the fact is that it IS a form of diplomacy and it is NOT taking place in the game chat.

If this were his first time in doing this general sort of violation, I would agree. As I understand things, it is not.

although maybe in a mild form, this is cheating, if he is saying this sort of stuff on a wall and not in the game, it means that people in the game will re-act differently. ?If it was in game chat i would probably attack him if you dont know about it which is the secret diplomancy bit, you would go on your own merry way

Since this is Mc Lor's second infraction for secret diplomacy he is receiving a 1 week vacation from CC. Asking for a card might seem like a small thing to complain about but he has done it on several occasions and it can't be ignored.

Just out of curiosity, what happens to existing games on a 1 week vacation? Does he get eliminated from them, or just miss turns?

I believe they only miss turns. If the turns go slowly enough, I believe he will be able to return to the games in a week.

Nope, he will be able to play all his turns. He won't be able to make or join new games.

Really? That seems exceptionally odd to me...hardly seems like a site-ban at all (in fact...it isn't). They really shouldn't call it a site ban.
