Yeah I shouldn't have said party system. What I really meant is how it is working. I understand that this country will probably always have just 2 parties that really stand a chance at winning, heck 3rd party candidates don't even get to participate in the debates. BUT I do not like how it is headed. It is at this point, becomig a problem where the 2 parties cannot see eye to eye.

I was commenting on how candidates are often viewed in the party sytem. A person is often just seen as a republican or democrat and these people who think that way may vote strictly based on political lines and not necessarily for the better candidate.

It's only a two party system because the people keep it that way. We've doomed ourselves two it.

Something I find funny....While we realistiacally have only two choices in America when we vote for president....we have....

50 candidates for Miss USA (and we can't even get that right)
9 different flavors of Pringles
100's of TV channels
16 possible American Idols
and, most importantly, 7 settings on a blender

Hillary couldn't win the primary even if she was running under the name of bill.

I don't like Hillary. I don't trust her. I wouldn't vote for her if she paid me and offered me Chelsea's first-born.

I wouldn't vote for her if she put a knife to my chest. She's culturally conservative, and when I say that I mean that she sticks to social mores we left behind in the 1950s. With the platform she runs with, her best choice of running mate would be Lieberman.

Honestly, I'd rather vote for the decayed corpse of Richard Nixon than her.

Apart from the fact this thread is agist I'm intrested in worldwi=de politics and I've read a bit about most of them and either way I have a favourite and my favourite is Obama. But I will say that there is a chance if either of these people are elected they have a higher chance of being assassinated than many of the others

I don't know if I'll be voting in this upcoming election, due to the current line up. It's either big-government socialists, or big government mercantilists, and frankly I want neither. Although, Ron Paul is looking like an exception. The only thing about him that I don't like is his anti-choice stance.

Hillary.... not here, not now, not ever.

Not no, but HELL NO!

Anybody but Hillary.

Hillary has already run the country for 8 years.

I'm a democrat, and I'm against Hillary.

It's nothing really agaisnt her politics, or stance on issues. It's more because having her in office would be just as bad as having Bush in office was.

Half of the country absolutely hated Bush from the beginning. If Hillary is elected, it will be the same exact thing. I have yet to see a Republican who has one nice word to say about Hillary, so if she were ellected in, it would just continue to fuel the complete seperation and alienation of the two parties.

We need to elect someone who is more moderate, and less of an extreme right or left winger. Personally, I would love to see a Bi-partisan Pres/vice pres.

Right now, my ideal would be an Obama/McCain ticket.

I'd vote for her in the general election, but not in a primary.

Hillary is NOT an extreme left winger. She is much more conservative than Obama, who is also not an extreme left winger.

Yes she is. She's just is moving to the right because she can pick up more votes that way. She is a liberal feminist through and through.

A separation of parties and stances should be at the heart of politics! I fail to see how people see it as a bad thing. The constant drift to the centre in modern politics (both in the US and the UK) makes it harder for the people to have their say, in that if the people desire a government from the 'left' or 'right' (although those ters can only be used loosely) they cannot pick one. Parties should be seperate and alien, else we have a one-party system where two groups of MPs or Congressmen or whatever just have different names. I believe the core of the current political apathy present in the UK (don't know about the US really, but I imagine it as at least in some way similar) is that people have the attitude that whoever they elect will do the same thing. The right should hate the left because they hold different political values.

If you consider reducing our military to dangerously low levels.

If you don't mind that the administration taking credit for an economy that was fueled by a Republican House and Senate.

If you don't mind the lies and sex scandals.

If you don't mind our nuke secrets being sold to China.

Yeah, she was a blast!

Bush gets blamed for not having enough troops, hillary went off on him i do believe for not having enough troops so we should pull out of iraq.... well hello you stupid bitch, your husband is the one that cut the military down to shit, he is the one that made our military underfunded and made it so they dont have the best equipment...

Kylie, i like you, i really do, but first you lost a bit of respect by even going towards wanting hillary in... second you lost a lot of respect because you want to vote her in, because she is of the freakin political party you chose...

voting by just political party, is what fucks up everything, you dont use common sense when you vote just political parties... its why i am not affiliated with any party, i choose to listen to what they say, what they have shown and all that

Hillary has shown that with her husband she is a fucking dumbass!! she could have influenced bill on so many things and yet now she is out preaching to do those things, why didint she make bill do them earlier, she has him wrapped around her finger... (any smart woman would, god i know im calling her smart v.v)

also hillary has shown her complete lack of respect towards our fire fighters and our police who died in 9/11 when she wouldnt show up for the parade in their honor, saying she was to busy... hell people who were not even from her state showed up... and she is elected to represent new york.... and she didint fuckin show up... it was thanksgiving, her family, her husband alone has enough money to fly her there for that, and then fly her back in time for supper and all that...

also she has done shit for New York, the old mayor did more for New York then she has ever done...

also if she did become president, and when she got out of office, between her and bill, they would make enough money to feed the whole state of Maine... not shitty food either, not cheap food, but decent meals, and i do believe they would still have enough to live wealthy...

anyone woman but that damn woman.... if she is a woman..

ok what the question should really say is if she was the only democratic choice would you vote for her knowing how bad the republican party's have been i mean i dont think alot of people really care who it is this time as long as its not a republican i know thats kinda how i feel i cant stand republicans no affense to anyone but for real most of them are rich and there are few poor rebuplicans i call them idiots

im sick of living in a country where more people vote for american idle then they do for our president im sick of the fact that healthcare is such a joke and if u get caught without it your life is ruined.

and beyond that i would never vote bush in again i think he is the biggest pig in the world to make a comment about parents with kids on assistance should try to get married .... hahaha what a freakin idiot like that will make it better... yeah lets convince them to marry so they will have 2 incomes and we can cut them off ! its all a bunch of crap to me...

ok i have ranted enough for the day lol

I was in the Navy during the so called "reduction". Trust me, it was nothing as ridiculous as the reduction that the Bush Administration approved when they implemented cutting 20,000 airmen by 2009. Besides, why would we need an ultra-powerful military, when Russia had collapsed?

If you don't mind that the administration taking credit for an economy that was fueled by a Republican House and Senate.

An economy that was balanced by raising taxes and cutting down the military. If the Republicans want to take the blame for that, I'd be more then happy to assign them that.

If you don't mind the lies and sex scandals.

Actually, I didn't. It was none of our business to begin with. Moreover, I thought this was Hillary we are talking about, not Bill.

If you don't mind our nuke secrets being sold to China.

I have yet to see proof that they were sold, instead of stolen, which the CIA has corroborated time and time again.

Yeah, she was a blast!

That is, if you believe the disgusting rhetoric that she "ran" the country.

i dont know im sure she put in her imput cause she is a woman and im not saying she did help but he did a better job than bush ever did and clinton i mean come on how can we get mad at someone for getting some he*d i mean we got millions of cheating americans some our friends but were not treating them the way everyone treated clinton.
