I still think it's bullshit. Why would the US reassuring me that they did DNA testing convince me of it? I think it's just a PR campaign. It's been 10 years since 9/11...they want it to make it look like we did something, honestly.
Idk, I'm just not convinced.

More specifically, this is going to be epic from the blind patriots.
Also, if you want to talk shit, jefjef, have the balls to do it in public. I'm not a terrorist just because I think your kneejerk jingoism is sadly humorous.

AoG is right, just because they say they did DNA testing, it doesn't mean they actually did, or even have a corpse for that matter.
Also, where's the poll?
Also, Also, where's the kittens?

Let's not turn into a bunch of retarded truthers here. Obviously they know that they have Bin Laden. Think of how bad it would look if Bin Laden releases a videotape next week holding a copy of the day's newspaper. This is the kind of thing that you triple check before bragging about it.

Well if they were wanting to stage/fake it they would have done it during the next presidential campaign.

Anyone think UBL's death will spark a wave of terrorism?

I'm not a truther in the slightest. I''m just very skeptical about this.

AoG, the timing has no benefit. If this was staged, or something, it'd be closer to the election.
And Juan is right, you don't make a claim like that without evidence. Note how they sent in a strike team. I'm sure we'll see Bin Laden's dead face in the news, just like with Zarqawi, etc.

Obama also specifically mentioned the team recovering Osama's body. So, unless we get a really wacky story full of hijinks, we'll see that.

What's really the benefit in killing the big bad OBL?
Al-Qaeda gets an immortalized war hero.
Al-Qaeda's operations and fund-raising aren't really affected with the loss of a senile old man.
And what was the cost?
A war in Afghanistan, terrible publicity, hundreds of thousands civilians dead, governments replaced by just as shitty governments, and hundreds of billions spent in an endeavor that isn't really demanded by the American citizens (who wants more F-35s or cooler, cheaper smartphones, funny T-shirts, etc?).
This whole debacle is backwards whether the US killed OBL or didn't kill him.

George Bush's statment...
Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.

Good points.
The Obama/Bush gang will use this as justification to expand their global wars of aggression beyond just Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya, but to new fronts including Syria, Cuba, Palestine, Iran and DPRK.
Tonight is the start of War Without End.
