Yea, I've been to Shea...let's just say that the quality of the ball park represents the lack of people who care about them.

GO SOX.

But I must admit, I've heard much speculation about A-rod and even some Some Sox players on the list. Now I don't agree with these speculations, being an avid sox fan. But whats your opinion?

Big Papi himself?

Dougy?

Tavarez?

Donnelly?

Youk?

Hinske?

Willy Mo?

Yes, I've heard all of these names mentioned, but don't believe any of it. So, whats your opinion?

I would definitely believe Tavarez (that man is motherfucking insane), and I don't know Donnelly yet, but I feel thats just about it. And definitely no on the Ortiz thing. David Ortiz is simply an immense human being. 'Roids can't do that, unless his parents had him on HGH pre-natally (That would explain a bit, though :]

When you spend more money on single players than most teams spend for all of theirs & still lose they do...especially when you blow a 3-0 lead in the ALCS
...btw, the Boston Braves were the best baseball team ever

I'd have to ask where you heard this information from. There has been nothing about the majority of those players and the way they've been playing that would hint steroid use. Yes, i'll say Willy Mo's a big guy, but eating more than your alloted amount of calories a day will make you big just as well as inserting steroids into your bloodstream.
And Kevin Youkilis on steroids? are you insane? The kid is called 'The Greek God of Walks' because of his knowledge of the strike zone and his ability to not swing at ball. He is not known for a large amount of power in his swing - something that would hint at possible steroid use. Whoever you heard that from is disinformed.

I could argue against the rest of those players you mentioned, but it would take too long and isn't worth it.

And, just as an update, the red sox just beat the yankees, completing the first red sox sweep of the yankees in Fenway Park in (I believe) 17 years.

Go us.

Even if I am a Yankee fan, I'm taking an unbiased argument on this one. Remember Alex Sanchez? He was on the Devil Rays, and he was famous (well, not famous, but known for) for stealing bases and smallball, not power. He took steroids.

First off, I said I don't believe any of them. (except for possibly Tavarez and Donnelly) I was just asking your opinion. They are rumors, just talk. No need to flip out.

But on a different note, steroids are everywhere, just because your a fan of the team doesn't mean that none of thier players are invinsible from this steriod crisis.

WHOOO! Back to back to back to back. Manny, Drew, Lowell, and Tek.

Although, I must say I'm am not too happy with Dice-K's performance. The Yanks were hitting him like crazy. The guy's stuff didn't look too bad though, it could just be that the Yanks are hitting very well, but still, I would have hoped that he would have been able to shut them down. He had a 2.70 ERA going into the game, so it also could have just been nerves, even though the teams he faced before weren't too difficult. Personally, I just think he needs more time and experience in the bigs to get him to the status of an ace.

We swept them in 2004 too I believe (a sign?), in the beginning, but at Yankee stadium. Also, I believe we took 6 out of the first 7 games from them as well in the first two series. Let's go Sox!

Go Sox! I hope Dice-K represents tonight. I'm sure Yankee stadium is going to be lousy with press! Half of Japan will be watching via satellite.

Go Sox! Some of the most potent Yankees are injured. Kick em while they are down! It's the Boston way! (or at least the Worcester way)

well, the have matsui and chien-ming wang back, so they're not as injured as they were last weekend. I think Posada is better now, too. If the sox just score some runs like they did in Baltimore, they should be all right. It's too bad that Tavarez is pitching. I like the guy (he's frikkin' nuts and hilarious, and I'm pretty sure he cheats by putting shit on the ball, but I still like him), but he makes me a bit nervous against the yankee offense.

If I may . . . Tavarez blows monkey-balls. I saw the Sox play in KC last year, and Tavarez came in to relieve, and by the time the old man made it from the pen to the mound, I not only had time to go get a sausage sub, but actually raise the pig and spices to make my own sausage. Wow. I never thought I would be so freely talking about my sausage on the internet!

are you on crack, bro? Tavarez is a fucking riot! He's the one who told Dice-K to pitch inside to A-Rod. Dice-K hit him in his first AB, and then struck him out twice and held him homerless (which many pitchers have been unable to do so far this year). If you were getting the games on NESN and had seen some of the Tavarez interviews, you wouldn't be sour on him. I agree he sucked in relief last year, but he's been pretty solid as a starter for us. I mean he's our FIFTH starter. Most teams are pitching a glorified minor leaguer in the 5 spot.

I just think his windup would be more fluid without the wheelchair.
