I grew up drinking Tennents super, as when your nicking beer aged 14, it's best to steal 2 cans of something lethal, rather than try and get 4 cans of something nice.
and because I was stealing beer in the least best watched areas - it was from the shelf & store warm.
warm Tennants super is fucking horrible - but I got used to it. I tried experimenting with it. I had Tennents & galloways cough mixture mixed one night (when i had a cough) and that was nice. Tennents drunk through a McDonalds straw with a small hole bitten in the side of the straw is also recommended if you wish to kill lots of brain cells. But as I evolved a palette and a wage packet - 5% lagers are the happy medium. 1664 is hangover gear every morning, holsten Pils is for girls.
Special Brew, if very cold has a very unique flavour and is alright - but I've developed a requirement for quantity each evening, and drinking 3 cans of Stella allows me to wake up next day for work - instead of waking up on a park bench.
I grew up on the Brew, even got a Brew tattoo!
To me, when I was 14, WARM Brew was the best beer I'd ever tasted.
Now I've got a few more years beer drinking behind me, my taste has moved to English Ales (Spitfire, Broadside, etc.)
I now run my own off-license and am appalled by the amount of people who drink bad lager. (Stella, Fosters,Krone, 4X, etc.) There are great lagers brewed all over the world (Peroni, Moretti, Asahi, etc.), if you have to drink the stuff drink them!
But we have to remember, the English are best at brewing beer. And that's a fact!

WRONG! the Germans are, and that's a proven fact. they love their beer so much they have an entire festival built around drinking it.

I go to at least five beer festivals a year in the UK.

Beer festivals have been happening in the UK for as long as any European country. You really are quite stupid!

Thank you! now, since im sure you know everything about my country, the US, should i quiz you on our customs? oh, wait, no, we're not good enough for the English because a group of rebels beat the "greatest" army in the world!

It's really surprising to me that not more Dutch players have identified themselves here. I have met sooooo many Dutch online players. I'd say over a fourth of the players that I've met online who use the cd were Dutch. Maybe there are a lot here, but they just don't participate in the forums much.
