I'll admit, the number of game transcripts I've read is greater than the number of games I've taken part in, but from what I've seen, yeah, day 1 does seem to be joke votes or random votes, mainly to see how people react and get a feel for them.

Ugh, now that you mention it, I do remember Double Team.

I've played quite a few games here and on pther sites as well as irl and on video form.

Anyway, Toad1 you are going to need more explanation for votes in the future, otherwise people will start to get upset, even in this "fun" phase of the game where everyone jumps from person to person like they are the Kleenex to your runny nose.

mt I have played a few games, but nothing has been standard. I tend to enjoy the crazy games a little more. I love dynamic events, and all the unexpected things that happen in them.

I posted yesterday, calling out dakky a little... There was not much to work with.
So how about it Mtam, hop into my little lead here?

->Voting for fictional character does not help the game along, joke votes are fine but they are much more effective in the game if you place them on actual players to test reaction. Marashu doesn't seem interested in putting pressure on players.

My thought with voting for mtam was to get some non-fictional discussion going. Didn't have a real reason besides the 1/3 chance of being right. It didn't really get noted, and I thought the vote swap at that time was too funny to pass up (and I figured it wasn't a big deal since not everyone was confirmed yet).

I find it a little strange that Streaker called on mtam right away for this one, but from this:

They say day one lynch is better than no lynch. And if you take a closer look, I started the game with that joke vote.

Marashu, as Streaker said, bandwagoning on joke vote after you voted for a real player seems like you don't really know what you're doing.
mtamburini, you're asking everyone about their experience with Mafia. It's like you're scum and you want to eliminate first the most experienced player so it will be easier for you later.

If you truly believe that is the case with their being a possibility of their being a cop and/or doctor this game don't you think I'd be the most likely to be checked having the most experience then most of you combined? Pretty big target I'll have on my back of this is truly what you think my plan is as scum.

To answer your accusation in a different way, I ask all the people I have not played with before to know what kind of experience they have as newer players don't see the game as veteran players do and make newbie mistakes as mafia and town tell unintentionally as town. Knowing the experience level helps me look for those key markers much more easily and I can begin to make my town circle / lynch order.

If you need a game to reference on noobie mafia mistake look at streakers 3rd game he moderated and how shitty hotshot responded to pressure. Unfortunately I did a poor job of convincing the rest of town to lynch him.

The person who would best know my alignment this game would hands down be streaker as I've played in all 3 of his games so if you're curious and don't trust me ask him.

Also you saying there might be one between us and its trying to bring the other down if one of us flips mafia is contradicting the statement of me killing off the players with the most experience as I know me and streaker have the most on this forum at least.

You should have noticed already that most of the players of this game didn't had a lot of posts, and you were asking about it anyway, possibly finding someone who is experienced off site, so you can begin to make your own kill / lynch order.

This statement bothers me as well Dakky, especially since Streaker isn't the host. Which could mean a couple of different things, 1 that they are mafia together, but that doesn't seem like something 2 very "experienced" players would do, or 2 that this is a very convoluted C9 game that involves the Lovers role, but again that is very unlikely since C9 games have very specific setups.

What bothers me more is that they seem to have a trust for each other (well mtam trusts streaker, not sure if it is both ways yet), which means they could abuse that trust a bit, and basically get a 3rd person in the mafia, if one of them is mafia. In a game this size that could kill town off very quickly.

@dakky you would be most likely correct in assuming we're both aligned. That alignment is town.

@skill if you think that me asking you for streaker opinion on me is scummy than may I suggest you go read through the three games he moded and make an opinion for yourself?

I've made the assumption that streaker would know me best as I assume he read through his games while he moded.

What I like most about streaker thus far was making a joke reference about a player who we both know that didn't sign up for this game. It made me laugh and I liked what he had to say afterwards with his soft push as I too had the same conclusion but a different read which also makes me think he's town.

I'm still really worried about the possibility of only one of mtam or streaker being scum and leading the other astray. The thing is, if mtam thinks that having experience is putting a big target on his back, why open up that line of questioning? Either way, since it got brought up, I am going to ask.
