We are over 70% of the vote counted and I'm sending out the last of the maps.

So once all games are complete we'll show the initial vote count and start the ranked choice process. Hopefully by the end of the coming week?

1% is the gap between the candidate in 4th place and the candidate in 8th place.

And we have 0.81% gap between the 9th place candidate and the 15th place candidate.

Should be interesting once we start the ranked choice process.

We are almost ready to reveal the votes with more than 95% of the vote in, closing in on 1 million total votes for Mayor of Woodboro.

Last game is in round 17, so getting close to wrapping up the vote gathering and we'll start processing the ballots.

All the votes are in and the initial results are posted.

Aaronvollrath is our early leader with 9.73% of the vote -- more than 15,000 votes ahead of the next candidate.

Crazystef is the first eliminated with 44,453 votes -- a margin of about 500 votes between crazystef and the No. 15 finisher.

I'll be going through the ranked choice process over the coming days and posting updates with each layer of that process until we get a winner (someone reaches 50%) of the vote.

AJNicol1973 is the next candidate eliminated...and aaronvollrath remains in the lead now with over 10% of the total vote.

Ranked choice 3 is up...Darin44 is the latest to be eliminated by about 1,000 votes.

Aaronvollrath remains at the top with 10.39% of the vote and a margin of about 12,000 votes.

General Bax is the fourth candidate to be eliminated.

Aaronvollrath continues to lead, holding the top spot by more than 13,000 votes

kevi is the 5th candidate eliminated by a meager 400 votes in this round.

Aaronvollrath now has more than 11% of the vote with j1mathman and shoop76 also climbing over the 10% threshold.

All three of the top candidates are over the 100,000 mark now, too.

Also of note, YouOnKazoo jumped up two spots to No. 6 in this last round.

We've got 9 candidates left...most recent eliminations were actorday, kevi and space odyssey.

Aaronvollrath continues to lead now with 13.36% of the vote...more than 15K votes ahead of second place.

Tight battle for the No. 2 spot with less that 1,000 votes between shoop and j1mathman.

Aaronvollrath pushes past 15% of the vote, while Shoop and math man are about 1,300 votes apart for 2nd place. YouOnKazoo bumped up another spot to No. 5.

William tennant and overlander get knocked out to give us our top 5 candidates.

YouOnKazoo held off overlander by less than 100 votes for a spot in the top five. Aaronvollrath is closing in on 20% of the vote.

YouOnKazoo and j1mathman are the next two out...that gives us our top three prize winners of Aaronvollrath, shoop76 and TheTrueNorth...now we just have to decide the final order, although vollrath looks to be in solid position at the top.
