Funny....I relate very strongly to the Irish

In a few years my grown kids will be fully gone. The community I live in I chose 35 years ago for the purpose of raising kids. Once they're gone, I'm thinking hard on leaving - if you're really bored, look up West Linn, Oregon

I have property in central Oregon that's high desert - I'll probly go build my dream mankave barndo there, but I love the idea of someplace gun friendly, legislation wise. Idaho is probly the best bet but prices are higher...

I'll probably fucking kick before any of that anyway  Fun to dream....

WEATHER - Still rainy off and on but gonna be nice by Monday, when we'll be at the coast for 4 days....beach cookie time!

Nope. American right here manno.

I don't even like going to Kauai, which we do every 2 years

Overcast and horrible outside.

Does "we" mean you and wife? What does she want to do?

And grandchildren, if you are so blessed, will change the "equation" imo.

And I have no desire to move out of the USA, and no desire to move from my current location. We have too many ROOTS here.

Typical March weather here for Central VA; Temps in the near 70 F here today for a high 42 F now; LOTS of POLLEN. Rain perhaps on Monday. AND, I think ConfedSS said it; first day of Spring on 3/20.

The Kauai "we" is my extended family and friends....typically about 15-20 of us. Been going for 50 years ....it's a thing

All my family lives within 30 miles, always has. Family is a also a thing to us....

Weather- improving. Still overcast and rainy and maybe up to 50. Gonna be sunny and 70 at the coast by Tuesday! Woot!!

This is the beach we go to - you can drive for like 30 miles on it...empty this time of year

Yeah, I always wanted to retire to the south Island of New Zealand, or Tasmania, or Patagonia, maximize my chances of surviving a nuclear war (which will be fought mostly in the Northern latitudes) or global warming (which will mostly hurt the Middle latitudes.)

But I'm getting older now and realize I might very well die of natural causes before the assholes in Peking or Washington manage to wipe out life on earth. I might end up staying right here in Niagara.

WoW, Duk. I did not realize how close you are to Buffalo, NY and the USA.

I assume that you are back from your Texas Road Trip, too. So that is the END of your GOOD stories "South of the border" and "South of that border" right?

Yeah, of 62 years on Earth, 57 have been lived in Canada, and of those 57, 48 have been lived somewhere in the Niagara Region.

Of the 48, I spend four years in Fort Erie (literally in sight of the Peace Bridge and Buffalo) and another 12 years in Niagara Falls, about 3 or 4 miles from the border there.

Oh yeah, been back for a while. My visit with TX was the last update.

I still have lots of stories from earlier trips, lol.
