I think police officers need to be appreciated more - sure some of them are insane, but they have to deal with tons of shit every day.

soldiers. whatever their cause is, they are able to overcome the fear of death, especially grusome death...

out of those listed, it would only be firefighter and a good teacher.. though schools are just system based were you don't learn much but are taught everything (big difference)

Cops and soldiers do not even get close to a rating on my list. Professional thugs hired by the government, and nothing more. If you think anything but, you're a fool.

Also, i'll add environmental workers as pretty important. Environmental scientists (the good ones, not the one's the government hires to spit out government propaganda) and even the humble park ranger.
