Oops. This went in the wrong tourney. I was looking for the tournament by Rahimj_27. I was looking through the list for a random "r" name with some numbers after it, so I found yours and made the wrong (potentially fatal...?) assumption that this was the tournament I was looking for. Sorry 'bout that.

lol, it's fine.... Rahimj is running that one, I'm playing in that one, Rahimj is playing in this one and I'm running it and both tournaments are similar....

Those in Group A, be advised, somehow the game got created with 6 players instead of 4, check to make sure the game number you are joining is Game # 1016596.... the password remains the same from the PM, just the game number is different....

I'd suggest that you pm that to the group A people.

The Group C game has not started yet, we are still waiting for wenny.

Where is he/she

wenny has not yet logged in to receive the PM yet.... out of the 12 who have logged on and got the message, 11 have joined the games.... I'm on a computer that doesn't have excel so I can't quickly check who hasn't joined....

till waiting on wenny, ciancama, and OutForce.... I'll open the thread back up to reserves and if the 3 don't show up in 12 hours and we don't get reserves, the 3 groups short aplayer will become 3 player games with a mod on the scoring system where the first player eliminated gets one point and none of those 3 players get eliminated....

still waiting on ciancama and wenny.... still no update on wenny, ciancama has checked both messages for Group A and has yet to join the game....

wenny has joined, sending another message to ciancama....

5 hours left and Group A will be 3 players unless a reserve joins before then or ciancama joins.... sent amessage asking whether he/she still intends to play since both messages were read....

slight problem.... I have to go to the field for a few days starting the 23rd and I should be back sometime on the 26th.... hopefully I only miss one game and hopefully we're still on round 1 when I leave.... either way, I'll create the games needed to finish out round 1 and find someone who can run the tournament for those few days if it looks like round 2 will be starting before I get back.... depending on where my group's game is by then, I'll be creating 3 player games for Group D and I'll just take a 0 for each game I miss, although right now it doens't look like I'll be doing too good even if I wasn't going anywhere....

just an update.... Riazor and jennifermarie both have 0 points for being eliminated first.... negoeien, ciancama, and Opera Man FL have 1 point for eliminating a player.... insomniacdude has 1 point for surviving one elimination....

lol, yeah.... but you got a leg up on Riazor.... and two more games to go....

Congrats to negoeien from Group A for winning round 1 game 1.... 2 eliminations....

Group A Standings:
Negoeien: 4 points.... (1 for elimination, 3 for winning....)
ciancama: 3 points.... (1 for elimination, 2 for being last eliminated....)
insomniacdude: 1 point.... (1 for not being first eliminated....)
Riazor: 0 points.... (first eliminated, no eliminations....)

as far as the bonus point for Group A for most eliminations, negoeien is winning, ciancama is the only other competitor right now....

Group D Standings:
Opera Man FL: 4 points.... (see negoeien above....)
Godd: 2 points.... (2 for being last eliminated....)
Rhm3769: 1 point.... (see insomniacdude above....)
jennifermarie: 0 points.... (see Riazor above....)

Opera Man FL has the only eliminations in Group D....

Note: Group D hasn't finished the game yet at this point, but the outcome is clear enough....

and the bonus point for most eliminations for Round 1 tournament-wide, negoeien, ciancama, and Opera Man FL are the only ones in it so far....

remember, it's nice to finish first in a game, and nice ot finish first for a round, but there's more after this, only the lowest scored player in each group is dropped.... and the player with the overall high score is crowned as a winner, as well as the winner of the final round.... if both winners are interested, there will be a face-off for a single winner....

each group plays 3 games, singles, standard, sequential, flat rate, chained.... Haven't decided on a map yet, but it'll probably be the normal one just for testing.... you get points based on games.... for winning the game, you get a set number of points, all others get a number of points for the order they were eliminated.... first round with 16 players, the winner gets 3 points, the last one eliminated gets 2 points, the one before that gets 1 point and the first eliminated gets 0 points.... apart from this, you get other points, 1 point for eliminating a player, but only one point.... you get another if you eliminate the most players a game in your group as well as the most eliminated for that round out of all the players....

clarification.... Group D, Opera Man FL gets that bonus point unless someone else ties with 3 eliminations in a game.... in that case, the overall eliminations for a round of 3 games in that group will be used....

because this is a test of the tournament point system, this might change the next time I run it.... which won't be for another year at least....

I'm set to go to iraq sometime late winter/early spring.... from now until then, we got about 2 months of training where I won't have computer access, it wouldn't be so bad if it was for a day or two at a time but it's 3-4 days at a time from now until christmas and then a month in jan/feb.... between that and time off for holidays and a week off before deploying, I'll be lucky if I'm around to finish this off, but most of it will be done at least.... even the 2 weeks for christmas, I won't be around much, getting married and then driving across country and then getting the apartment all set up and parties and stuff.... but through november, we should be safe....
