a message to DiM, who cares if a map gets played less than all the others. If southy wants to make it and he knows he will play ti it will be worth making it.
anyway onto the map. It could work if you had a keyword if you know what i mean. Like capitals but each is a letter and it spells a word out. maybe southy?
also think about how you would label the map. how would you distinguish the territories?
i also like the idea of the yellow bridges.
and a huge bonus for holding all downs or all acrosses

WL try this:
1. take out everything but the colored and some of the white like this:
2. then name the territorys the color of the cont. i.e. Blue 1, Blue 2, Etc.
3. rememebr to make it colorful, thats what makes i look good
hopes this helps, if not tell me what you want commented on.

heres a colour view to give you an idea where the bonus will be, the white bits are attacking bridges there no bonus there
those are probley not the colours that will be used has this is only a rough drawing if it get enough good reviews it will be taken to the next step but the reviews are looking good so far to carry on to the next step

I'd hate to say this to you, but I think it's probably going to be a waste of time. As much as I'd encourage a lot of mew maps and new map makers, we already know that people dislike crossword. I don't think this can change it.

It would be interesting if some words formed part of two territories as happens with some stations in the new rail usa map. this wuld increase not just the difficulty but the challenge as well.

Wow, I am not keen on the crossword map but this 1 is better than the 1 in play now, if u work on the graphics...the gameplay looks fun and i think it has alot of potential!

i like the idea of having 3 neutral armies in the white
i would do the bonuses like this
outside corners of the map (bright green, light brown, light yellow, cyan)- 2
outside middle territories (pink, deep pink, light purple, gray)- 4
inside corners (red, dark green, dark brown, orange) - 7
center piece (light blue) - 5
or something like that maybe

part of a true crossword puzzle is the fact that it is symmetrical in nature, at least according to the editor who does the NY Times crosswords

yes, i agree but, you need to liten up the green in the top right.
and also the bonuses need to be worth more then only 4, maybe like 5.
