I killed 4 people while in the womb. Trumped.
I broke 100 bare bear necks without eating berries. Can you say
OWNED?

It is a bad thing. What is so fucking great about a 5 year old being able to kill a bear? I don't see the point of being proud about a 5 year old killing anything.

You make hunting sound like a crime. The sooner a kid learns about gun responsibility, the better off they will be.

Wait...what the...what am I thinking? Why, oh
why is a child using a firearm? I got caught up in laughing and missed that entirely...if he's killing bears at 5, when did he first shoot a gun?!?!

It should be Muy. hunting is not a crime YET... Making it sound like one is the least you can do.

Well how responsible exactly is it being if he is killing bears? Hunting is fucked. Why exactly does this kid (or anyone) have the right to kill a bear? Give me one good reason. Does not the bear's right to live outwieght the want of a human to kill it. Especially if they are just going to mount it in their living room as a trophy. They aren't eating it.
It should be a crime.

Who says they aren't eating it?
Have you ever tasted bear meat? It's not too bad.
To the people saying "hunting should be a crime", are you strict veagans? Because in one way or another, if you eat any meat, then you condone the killing/hunting of animals for food
A full size mount seems a little ridiculous and expensive, but they are in Arkansas....

Why in the blue hell would I want to make it sound like a crime when people actually do use the meat, pelts, etc? (Part of post also directed to rj.)
radio, many hunters actually DO use the meat, hide, pelts, and furs of animals they hunt. Stop being so dramatic. I don't know how it is in Australia, but out here, not much is wasted. And what the hunters don't use, they leave for other animals.

I'm sure bears would fel much more safer if all of them were armed

They have large front legs with very sharp claws instead though.

The family revealed plans to have a life-sized mount of the bear.
They did
The Fuzzy Pengui wrote:Have you ever tasted bear meat? It's not too bad.
No, I'm vegetarian. If indeed they did eat the bear then I wouldn't have a problem with it, but it sounds like this was a total 'trophy mission', as such

Ironically, despite my vego status, I would think its better if people actually hunted for their food, as opposed to merely buying it in the supermarket straight from the slaughterhouse. But this case doesn't seem like the kid killed the bear for food.

Stricter gun laws would actually bring about a gradual reduction in gun laws and, consequently, bears would be less likely to eat people so we wouldn't need to shoot them. When human-bear contact did occur it would be solved by grappling, which I think everyone will agree is more manly, a more interesting spectator sport and generally a better use of our precious leisure time.

When he was 2. Didn't we already establish that?

So the dad sees the bear running at them and instead of grabbing the gun, he tells his son to shoot?
How do we know this is true?

Well he was planning to take the bear down with nothing but a corncob pipe and a Confederate flag, but his son clearly prefers his boomstick so shot the "bahr" dead "a'fore" his "paw" got a chance. Also, running at them is a loose term. It was actually just looking at them funny.

Meh, shooting the bear isn't that much of an achievement really.
I mean, if he'd sneaked up on it and violated it first then it'd be kinda cool. But y'know, shooting these days is just so mundane.
Basically, I'm not going to applaud until he kills one matadore style.

Knowing the news, the kid probably raped it first, then KOed it in a boxing match, then ripped it's head off Mortal Combat Style.
