I am highly skeptical of most people who say they are allergic to cats. Two of my old roommates had grown up in pet-less homes and believed their whole lives they were allergic to cats undoubtedly because witless, overprotective mothers had once instilled the idea into their tiny little heads. After a year of living with my sheddy cat in a house with floors that weren't swept as often as they should be, it became pretty obvious that my roommates were NOT allergic to cats.

I'm allergic to cats.

A thread just like this one was posted about a year ago I think. I voted Siamese. Persians look like they've run into a locked pet door one too many times.
