some ideas about villages
1) Maybe have large villages take up 4 spaces? bonus of 3?
2) Maybe have small villages take up 1 space? bonus of 1?
and
3) Heck while were at it, and to avoid copyright even more (i hope) add some castles

I like some aspects of your idea so i combined them and added a castle which takes up the center 3x3, will upload an image when I get home

I like the idea behind it, but as said before there are many copyright issues. Travian is a great game

I think the map could gain a lot from featuring an individual village and resource fields though

Well, thanks to this little post I reworked it, look for the new idea version, the instructions are in the post and it is very rough compared to the others (cause I re-built the sketch from a blank slab) but I think the idea is great!

hopefully that doesnt insult u, cause im not trying to and u seem like a very upcoming map maker

OK, you are not supposed to look at the artwork you are supposed to look at the IDEAS and CONCEPTS ignore the cruddy illustration and just look at the concept, if you want I can remake it into a better looking form

I like the reworking, nice set of ideas. A couple of things, I think the number of terits is too high and the bonusses are probably a little high as well. Obviously the graphics needs work, but worry about that later. Thanks for making the effort and looking forward to seeing where you will take this

Please ignore how it looks, we can work on that more later, look more at the concepts (ex do you like the 3-way divide/towns etc.)
