OK I don't think I can do all ten at once, but Thomas Dolby's Astronauts and heretics has to be in there. So does The Only Ones Peel Sessions. And Annie Lennox's Diva.

Just he never put it to any good effect, and lyrically he may as well have just been gargling for all the sense they made -total tosh.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO I can't just sit back...
Led Zeppelin were possibly the most accomplished, if not the best, rock band in history. Four brilliant musicians - the best drummer that ever drew breath, one of the greatest guitarsist of all time, the screaming boy wonder on vocals...
While U2 are a bunch of old shite (remember that bit on Rattle & Hum, after boner has finished burbling on about fighter planes or something, he says, very dramatically: 'Edge? Play the blues!' and The Edge (what a terrible name) plays
one note over and over again. Not sure what muddy waters would have to say about that) they should never be mentioned in the same internet as Led Zep, let alone the same sentence, although i concede I have just done that.
And I can't believe no one has mentioned Stevie Wonder yet.
A representative list:
Dylan - Highway 61 revisited
Dylan - Freewheelin' BD
Stevie W - Fulfillingness' First Finale
Stevie W - Songs in the key of life
Led Zep - anything up to and including physical graffiti
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
Aphex Twin - Selected ambient works
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
Pink Floyd - DSOTM
Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones

Yes, you're right about Zep being great musicians.
Shame they never wrote a good song though.

In no order at all.
The Healer - John Lee Hooker
Buena Vista Social Club - same name
Hard Again - Muddy Waters (probably should go for something earlier but i like that he brought his craft into the present)
Duppy Conqueror - Bob Marley (just pick an album.. Legend of course; if music is pure, complex, introspective joy... this is its best example! pure love in a rhythm)
What's going on - Marvin Gaye
Tea For the Tillerman - Cat Stevens (the man is an under-rated passionate, musical genius)
There's a Riot Goin on - Sly and the Family Stone (these guys are fucking good.. surprisingly eclectic; try em if you don't know them.)
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dillon
Inversions - Stevie Wonder
Live at the Applllo - James Brown
There should probably be a little Blue; Joni Mitchel .. And i have a true love of Curtis Mayfield (Superfly perhaps)

and Santana's Abraxas...I'll have to count how many I've done so far.

my opinions are so close to objective fact, newton thought about basing on of his laws on them, but then realised time travel was incompatible with his Laws.
ya get my drift. Morrissey's the most important artist of all time, no question.
