Robert's good...then for an everyday name she can choose

Robert
Bob
Bobby
Rob
Robby
Rob the Knob
Bob the Slob
Flobby Bobby
Sideshow Bob
Sunshine

And, in the unlikely, but quite possible, event that she grows a penis, it'll make it unnecessary to change her/his name. I'll tell you, I really got sick of the question "So Sally, why'd you change your name to Butch?"

Congrats Pedro and best of luck...
Every Kate/Katie I have ever known has been brilliant. Except for one, but she was only really bad at her job - lovely woman though. It's an auspicious name.

I know of two Katies that grew up to be crack-smoking single moms on welfare.

If it weren't for your surname, I'd say Elizabeth - it's so flexible (LIz, Libby, Lizzie, 'beth, etc) - it's like allowing the kid to choose for herself. BUt Elizabeth Taylor, no.
For a similar reason, I didn't call my sone Thomas - it's a good name, got some Welshness in it too - but., well, it wouldn't be unusual.

hows it going to sound in 12 years when she asks you where mum and dad got her name from?

"Uhhh,... the conquer club internet forum...."

seriously!!!! you must have some more creativity than to ask us!

anyway, my suggestion is Emily

you know jake i normally disagree with you on most things but this is true, 100% but i think it is good you came up with names for us to pick then letting us say anything, imagine if she found out about this thread  . any i vote for Elizabeth because both names come together, on a different note congratulations on the baby =D>

(I voted for nicole. However, I echo the sentiment of not using the results of this poll... just get a book of kids names, or invite someone over who has a cast on.)

Elizabeth is a nice name but theres a good chance she will get called betty,(that could be just in scotland im not so sure)i wouldnt call her katie, its a nice name but too many twats that like jordan(big titty katie price),have probly named there kids that,so probly very comon by now,the rest are lovley names, make sure you give her a middle name,it gives ur kid a chance to change her name if she hates her first one,and very handy for cofusing companys that you owe money to as well,i think Ruby Nicole Taylor has a nice ring to it.My boy was born 24 march last year, best thing thats ever happened to me.|f it was a girl we were dead set on Grace as a name straight away.and fought for the next 8 months about the boys name,And also think about any way kids could tease ur child at school with there name, even though i cant think of any with ur chosen ones.good luck anyways and congatulations, :D

A real name. No stupid made up council house names.

I agree wholeheartedly. One of my work colleagues has daughters called Levi Jean and Skye. He is a bit of a twat though.

I am all for unique names, but some people name their kids for selfish & pathetic reasons with no regard to the life the child will have bearing that name for the next one hundred years.

I have distant redneck in-law relatives that named their two daughters "Harley Davidson" and "Kashmere" after the Led Zeppelin song. Much like the "Sunshines" and "Moonbeams" of the 60's, these kids too will either change their names later or live their lives incognito as "Lee" and "Mira".

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the name "Elizabeth Taylor". By the time she is 20 the original will be long gone anyway.

I'm not going to base our choice on this vote.... My first choice was a certain name on the above list, My girlfriends first choice is also in there. This was just some fun to see how my name or her name faired in a public vote. the other names had been suggested between us as possibles.

There's no way on earth I was going to use an internet poll to decide on my daughters name. This was just a way of gauging the names put forward so far.

Btw - thanks for the large number of votes! =D>

Yeah... and do you really want her associated with the Kennedy assassination? The grimy, oily-haired, hairy-chested Italian mobster part of the Kennedy assassination?
