LA is one the 5 largest Canadian cities. I've heard estimates of around 1,000,000 Canadians living there.

For the love of god this fiendish infiltration must be stopped. We need to start tattooing all of them at the border with a large maple leaf on their forehead, that way we will know who among us is one of them. Good idea, ehhhh?? :P :P :P

Canadians by choice migrate to America? 8-[

Only the ones who need to feel superior to everyone around them.

Trudeau was a complete asshole( maybe the first of all asshole ), chretien was the second greatest asshole in all of canadian history. Trudeau said on live tv -> ''if quebecois people vote for seperation of Québec from Canada i'm not gonna recognize the vote even if it's anti-democratic'' so that alone puts him on top of the greatest asshole in history of Canada.

English canadians loved him cause at a point he wished he'd be english, he told the RCMP to continue to put bombs in Québec even after they arrested the last of the F.L.Q. extremists people, and that continued for 2 years after october 1970. So like i said english canadians loved him just like Chéthien ( the guy that stoled almost 50 millions dollars to make sure Québec would not have a chance to seperate again in 1995). Read your history people those 2 were douche.

Like a reporter once told to Trudeau after the release of his auto-biography : '' was is the title of your book ? is it = darling i shited on the Québecois !

Nous vaincrons !

That's all quite interesting, but I believe this thread is for who you think the greatest was. Somehow, I don't think you're calling either of those you mentioned, "the greatest".

Wait, let me guess. Harper is your favourite, as he would be happy to get rid of Quebec.

Since growing up in Michigan and spending much of my free time across the border I feel much kinship to my Canadian friends. Spent much of my youth watching Canadian tv (CBC), listening to Canadian radio (CKLW, CBC), and drinking Canadian beer (Blue). Can actually sing the first verse of the Canadian national anthem, "Oh Canada." I actually recognized the PMs on the list. So count my vote as kind of a step-Canadian, eh? Trudeau.

MacKenzie King as he was a master of playing political interests against each other and thus getting what he thought best for the country, but I really admire Trudeau

No no no....it's just a threat. No parent would actually follow through with it...

Isn't it great that Quebec has votes to separate from Canada? The problem is, if all the Quebecois that wanted to stay with Canada moved out of Quebec, and Quebec separated, the new sovereign state of Quebec would crumble. It would be detrimental to all Canadians - but it would be a complete disaster for Quebec.

Sometimes democracy doesn't work - like when the leaders of a movement are frickin' idiots and the people that follow them are misinformed. The separatist leaders all just want to have their own country. But they wouldn't know what to do with it once they got it.

I have a better solution. All the separatists buy a one-way ticket to France.

I hate having to press "1" on the phone to choose English.

FTW. Tired of the Bloc Quebecois trrying to have their cake and eat it too. Or rather, have their cake and eat the rest of Canada's cake. Sovereignity Association is just another way the Quebecers are trying to take all they can from Canada, and give nothing in return.

Not being Canadien, my opinion on this is not relevant. However, I think there is an approaching parallel in Mexican Americans/Spanish speakers and French Canadiens.

I think we perhaps need to take warning from the divisions and find a way not to have more divisions here in the US than already exist. One, universal, OFFICIAL language seems a good route. That, and expanded teaching of many different languages, particularly Spanish, but also other languages where the teachers are available, in ELEMENTARY school and not high school!

Wouldn't excluding one language from being official only aid in creating division?

I think our bilingual status is indicative of our acceptance.

And it isn't just Quebec that is bilingual, New Brunswick is also a bilingual province, and has never had a secession vote.
