Conquer Club

Yeah, we could have a "Serious Business" forum, but that's kind of the point of FT and TRU. Maybe opening it to the public wouldn't be so bad. Also, we could have Flame Wars be a subforum... that way, any inflammatory posts can be made there and conveniently linked to during a discussion. The average Joe can skip the drama and the two involved in heated debate can still throw insults at each other. Everyone wins.

I would like some kind of entertainment forum and a sports forum, but that's because it would make it easy to avoid sports, as I dislike them. A "Religion" forum or a "Politics" forum wouldn't be very good due to the fact that the two are often very closely intertwined.

That's why I say they may as well put the two together and put the movies, sports, etc in another.

I voted politics and religion, into one sub-forum.

I didn't vote as the forum doesn't need divided up. I would rarely if ever go into any of the subforums except sports yet I sometimes post in religion/politics and other topics. It would mean each thread is seen by less people and therefore posted in by less people.

I disagree entirely, it doesn't need splitting up and it would just make the place less active and more annoying to have to trail through more and more sub-forums. It's not needed at all.

And yes. I know people have requested sub-fora from time to time, but I don't think that makes it a good idea, or that people would necessarily like it if it happened.
I don't come to MAAD thinking "I'd like some serious discussion today" or " time for some light-hearted banter", any more than if I see a mate in the street I say "OK, serious topics first, then we can have a laugh".

Plus, if there was a "serious business" forum we wouldn't be able to troll.

It's sort of disappointing. I was looking forward to working my way up the NWO ladder, maybe lording over a major city with an iron fist someday. Instead, I'm the one who's going to be constantly watched, and eventually killed for stepping out of line. It isn't fair!

Music, Television and Movies. There's already plenty of religion and politics threads made.

That why they should have a forum, you don't make a forum for something if nobody talks about it.

However, perhaps this will kick it off.

The forum as is is a nice balance of politics, religion, sports, and whatever the f*ck else is put in here, and as for myself I find it very convenient, if not entertaining to be able to switch easily from one to the other. Otherwise I'd probably hang out in the politics forum (if it were created) way too much and get way to bored.

On second thought I'll agree with all those who say to keep it as it is.

Religion, politics, racism, gay marriage and whatnot all dance merrily hand in hand through a meadow full of flowers, so to speak. And all the nonsensical topics add flavour, so just leave it. Splitting the forum games off was enough and possibly a good thing for the mafia games because they became more easily findable. But really, there's no need to start splitting hairs as opposed to logs.

We will have to leave it to Andy Duff and Night-strike to fight it out over who gets to run the boys section.

Our old favorite amigo's the Brawl-Hallers, notice they can talk about Obama, football, Jesus and Internet problem solving, whilst knocking the crap out of each other in a flame hall, and have a porn division on the side. No harm done there, highly educational if you ask me!

Lets face it, the kids all know where to find porn when the mood takes them, so why try and hide it (less chance of catching virus's, plus less chance of your computer crashing).
