Well, it's okay if it's just a typo here or there or something that is generally annoying to try to spell (for instance, my mind once blanked and for the life of me, I could not spell auto) but it comes to a point where it's just completely ludicrous and makes me want to shoot some people.

What about the non Americans? Thats fellars dont necessarily know the verbiage....

I get annoyed when people misspell my name. I'd say a good 50% of everyone who sends me a card or a letter for the first time spell my name "Niel". I know there's that rule about I before E...etc, but for God's sake, "Neil" is just about the only way it's spelt anywhere in the English-speaking world. Tch.

There is a word that doesn't apply to I before E except after C. but I forget what it is.
