I'm an Anaheim win away from being 11-1 in the playoffs so far, with my only blemish being my Colorado pick. For my overall picks, I need a Ducks win; I've got them in the Finals.

Bollocks.

Is the NHL in a hurry? Kings take game seven last night
and host the Blackhawks tomorrow afternoon.

Game 1 in Montreal and the Habs manage 19 good minutes,
while 11 Rangers come away with points in a 7-2 romp.

Can the Habs slip a few past Lundqvist?
Rags up 3-1 with 5 minutes to play.

Haters gonna hate, Rangers gonna win.
It's going to be one hell of a parade down Broadway - and I will do everything I can to be there.

Kings couldn't catch a break in Game 1,
but I expect it to be tight all the way.

Canadiens are looking fucked, no Carey Price, Lunqvist is in the form of his life and they're down two to nothing in the series, having lost two home games to boot.

Brandon Prust will miss the start of next season.
There was absolutely no reason for that.

Side note: I wonder how much it cost the Habs to bribe the refs.

I didn't get to watch, but heard it was a great game.

I've only managed to see both Game 1's so far,
the Kings & Blackhawks was a good one.

Break a guy's jaw - No penalty, 2 game suspension.
Tap the linesman on the shoulder - game misconduct, 10 game suspension.

Yeah, that - that's totally fair.

Can anyone explain why Canada is on a 5 year choking streak at the World's? It makes no sense to me.
It's not like Canada is the only team that can't send their best players, the same account for Sweden for example.
If you compare Canada's depth with Sweden's depth, only a fool would say that Sweden has greater depth, so not having their top players available should hurt Sweden more than it hurts Canada.
Canada's B-team is ridicoulusly much more talented than Sweden's B-team. Their A-teams are much closer in comparison. So Canada should be sweeping teams like Sweden in the world championships, and yet they aren't.
What's wrong with them?

Montreal main problem is the top-6 fowards. Prust 2 games for illegal hit to Stepan and Carcillo out 10 games ( automatic ) for pushiing a ref.

And yes Montreal was lucky with the referring during the playoff : Marchand got cross-checked on to Price and got a 2 min, later he decides to break so he wont hit him : 2min for breaking on the goaler héhéhé and then the Prust incident : no 5 min for hit to the head, stayed in the game, Carcillo got kick out .

The NHL is a complete joke when it comes to the rule book.

Because Canada doesn't really care about the world championships. There's a far more important championship being decided at the same time every year.

Exactly. The players there don't really care, since it's a secondary tournament that you only participate in once you've been eliminated from the primary tournament.

I always forget that the World Championship is going on, because it is so insignificant on the hockey landscape, and they run it at the same time as the biggest hockey tournament in the world.

That's a lousy argument that I just don't buy. Here's why i don't buy it:
It's probably true that a lot of Canadien players doesn't care about the world championship, and these players end up not going. But the players who go there obviously care because otherwise they'd be taking that early vacation and skip it like most do. Or do you mean to tell me that the players Canada sends to the world championships, the players who opted to join the team even though it isn't madatory, also doesn't care? Then why the hell are they there? That makes no sense at all, why would they go if that was the case? It's easy enough to say no, plenty of players do that. The team Canada are left with, the players who accepts joining the tournament, has to be assumed to be motivated to show what they can do on an international stage. Saying anythign else is just making up excuses that doesn't make any sense. And that team, that team which hasn't got many big names at all, is stil leagues better than all other teams except perhaps for Russia.
