Then again, I'm not a loud-mouth, know-it-all, douchebag. I'm not sure how I would respond in that situation.
I'll take that as a compliment?

You can easily tell when it says "Greatest tie against the British since Bunker Hill" You were playing England not Britain the other day, two different things, and the British press would never make such a awful mistake, no matter how idiotic some of the British press are (The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, etc).
Yeah that's a huge awful horrible world shattering "mistake".
Like how you idiots call any American a Yankee.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go write a 5,000 word diatribe about how stupid and inferior Britannia is. I will be sure to let tears of impotent word-nerd rage stream down my face the entire time, too.
I have never called an American a Yankee and I know no one who calls an American a Yankee either. Only a few of the idiotic press I had mentioned tend to use the nicknames when they deem them appropriate, otherwise everyone I know and myself just use American and most of the press too.
As for today's games, really enjoyed them, best day so far. Chile were one of the few teams who decided not to play it cautious in their first game and it should have been 2-0 or 3-0, Honduras offered nothing.
Spain couldn't score if their lives depended on it, but credit to the Switzerland defence, absolutely solid. And they were good on the counter too, got a few shots in. I think Chile will edge it against Switzerland though, 1-0 or 2-1.
Uruguay were great, 3-0 flattered them a little but South Africa were disappointing today. They will need a miracle to get through to the next round so I think essentially they are out.
Only game that looks exciting tomorrow is Argentina v South Korea, other than that I can imagine Greece v Nigeria being awful, and France being their boring self against Mexico. Roll on tomorrow regardless.

I couldn't watch any games today, but from the highlights:
The Swiss player that had that shot on goal that hit the post using the outside of his foot was awesome.
The red card on the South African goalie was too much, but I don't think it would've mattered anyway.

Definitely some entertaining matches today.
Tomorrow, I'll be donning my Mexican jersey. I'll also probably try to catch the Argentina / South Korea match after that.

Well the Argentina game is the first one, 7am. And yes, I'm totally up for waking up at 7 on summer vacation to watch the World Cup.

England and the states shouldn't have a problem in either of their matches. Wins all around for both i bet.

Honduras-Chile was one of the most enjoyable games so far IMO, very youthful talented and fast team of Chile which, if they play the Swiss right, might even take first place in this group. Spain will probably pull their shit together anyway, but seeing as runner up will meet Brazil it could make for one fancy second round game
I held one half time on Spain-Switzerland till I gave up, I agree Villa seemed quite out of it, seems Spain without a top-notch Iniesta and Torres doesn't have the same smoothness. With the kind of defense Switzerland showed they didn't change much in 4 years, missing their top striker doesn't help...
Argentina-South Korea should be interesting, the koreans' style of play could be a good threat to Argentina defensively. Then Mexico-France which is the last chance for frenchies to actually show something, it's too likely they could just draw again though -_-

I'm at work, but as long as I'm careful, I can watch the replay after the last match is over. Which means, no more this thread for me today.

lol good idea timm...
Well watching the game now, 25 min into it, does SK know that they shouldn't score on themselves or what? lucky they are from the south, up in the north you might get a few toes cut off for doing that!

There you go VIPER.
Argentina 4-1... where is the "overrated" team you were talking about? NK is a decent team.

Fucking cunt of an announcer in the Greece/Nigeria game, just told me the score of the early game! Normally avoiding pre-game, post-game, and half-time is enough to not have the games ruined.
In other news.
