I am about to leave because the dice are on their rampage again and it pisses me off. Based on the dice analyzer add on out of 446 3v2 attacks Ive only won 31.66% when I should be at 37.17%. Ive only rolled 14.71% of 6's out of 1298 dice throws (which is way fricking low) and I mostly roll 4's 2's 1's 3's 5's in that order...with as much dice as Ive thrown since i last deleted my cookies I should not be off so severely. I know its random, but seriously they need to make it less random and more statistically accurate. Who wants to play a game when they lose 12% more often then normal after nearly 1300 rolls? Or loses 3v2 attacks 15% more than usual after nearly 500 attacks? Yes, frustrating, its why i left the site for a year 2 years ago and Im about ready to leave again for longer than that.

I agree that the dice should be statistically very close to reality. I hate the dice since they changed them about 2 years ago. However, I do note that you have an excellent rank considering your lament about the dice.

I don't know anyone who has quit this site because of the dice or the gameplay (I'm sure there are some), but I do know for a fact a lot of people who have left because of the negativity in the forums and because of rulings they didn't like.

IMO, CC should do some research (if they don't already) into how players come across this site, and promote ads in that area (if they don't already).

I left for a year because of the dice (and when I left, I was in the top twenty or somewhere around there)

Declining it is not. Fewer members it merely has. More exclusive CC will become!!
In time only a handful of lucky players will call themselves members of this site. Oh how I long for that time to come!!

that's only if they close registrations, if anyone can just freely join, it will never be exclusive.

if CC reaches a point where even with free registrations nobody joins and only a few people remain active, then CC is not an "exclusive select club" it's the "shit that everybody stays away from, except for a few flies that are already on it"

For me I've been on and off for this site. My activity started going down after my premium was over and really really dipped after my account go hacked by a former acc sitter who point dumped as revenge against CC during which time I started playing other games and got addicted to that. But other than that, the 3 years prior to that I was on every spare second I could get. The only regret of leaving I had was that after I returned, I lost contact with some of the awesome pals I made here. Like Bruce who for some reason everytime I get him on chat he's always asleep lol

I'll be honest, these declining numbers worry me.
So what can we do to reverse the trend?

More site features, more game features, better site design, better 1st game experience, better SEO.
More site features - clan database, maps database, scoreboard revamp.
More game features - XML updates, scripts integration, new game options.
Better site design - right now the site looks like it has been made in early 00's
Better 1st game experience - a lot of new recruits leave the site because they don't want to wait 24h for a game.
Better SEO - right now if I google "risk online" CC is only on the second page.
This is from the top of my head to be honest. I am sure I can find more things that can be improved if I wanted.

First impressions are definitely important. When users come to the CC frontpage, what's going to convince them to sign up?
First games are very important, too. Many players sign up, thinking they're going to get into a game immediately. We need to do a better job at explaining how things work right from the screen they get to after they sign up for a new account.
SEO is important, too. If a player searches in Google for "risk online," they have to pass a lot of sites before they reach CC.

It's on the first page for me! 4th link from the top.

CC is the #6 link for me.
Agree 100% with what Dako said. The problem is that lackattack makes enough money even with declining membership, so why should he spend his money/time to improve CC?

Ace, do you have any idea what lack earns? Have you looked into the numbers? I haven't and anyone who hasn't can't possibly claim to know what his netgain is! People and their opinions...... *sigh*

Short-term thinking is a problem of many.
In 1972, U.S. President Richard Nixon asked China’s first premier, Zhou Enlai, for his assessment of the French Revolution, 183 years after the revolution’s conclusion. Zhou’s response: "It is too early to say."That is what I call long-term thinking ^^.
