Um, actually, Iowa just showed up late.

Not too likely... they'd have to put in an undefeated Boise State in ahead of Oregon, simply because Boise beat the Ducks.HapSmo19 wrote:So, what do you "in the know" people think about Oregon playing for the national championship?
Never happen?
So far the only team to beat Utah, at least until the Utes take on TCU anyways.HapSmo19 wrote:So, what do you "in the know" people think about Oregon playing for the national championship?

Isn't that just amazing though...who'd have thought anyone would break it, but a QUARTERBACK? Just weird.strike wolf wrote: In other news, I'm pretending the Georgia-Florida game never happened and Tebow didn't break Herschell's mark. Anyone who says differently I will ignore.
Yep - Oregon sure is making Boise State look good!Serbia wrote:Not too likely... they'd have to put in an undefeated Boise State in ahead of Oregon, simply because Boise beat the Ducks.HapSmo19 wrote:So, what do you "in the know" people think about Oregon playing for the national championship?

It is the BCS though. And to say Boise State's schedule is weak is an understatement. Oregon is the only ranked team they've played.Serbia wrote:Not too likely... they'd have to put in an undefeated Boise State in ahead of Oregon, simply because Boise beat the Ducks.HapSmo19 wrote:So, what do you "in the know" people think about Oregon playing for the national championship?

And yet...they did beat them head-to-head. It would be a real travesty if an undefeated Boise State DIDN'T remain ahead of Oregon.HapSmo19 wrote:It is the BCS though. You may wanna prepare for a travesty. Strength of schedule should put Oregon ahead of BS and in the top 5.Woodruff wrote:It would be a real travesty if an undefeated Boise State DIDN'T remain ahead of Oregon.
If it happens, then I do believe a playoff will happen. Because that would break the BCS for good for a LOT of people.HapSmo19 wrote:You may wanna prepare for a travesty. It's possible, but not likely. Should Alabama/Florida or Iowa or Texas or TCU finish with unblemished records it will be difficult for the Ducks to get past them.HapSmo19 wrote:So, what do you "in the know" people think about Oregon playing for the national championship?
Boise State did beat Oregon the first week of the season, but a lot has changed since then. Boise struggled with Tulsa and Oregon has put the pieces of the puzzle together and is rolling now. It's unfortunate that BSU's schedule is wimpy and it has already cost them in the BCS Rankings. Regardless of how well Oregon plays now, it doesn't improve the Bronco's chances.Woodruff wrote:And yet...they did beat them head-to-head.
