Forza AZ told me by PM that I had won the Tournament and I was also declared Winner in the Title. For the Asian & African Qualifying Tournament also Winners were declared and they received their Tournament Medal.

Iron Maid, I am just a tourney organizer, Lindax is the director of tourneys, you really need to take it up with him. He oversees this thread and tells me on corrections I need to make either in here or thru PM's.

The Asian version was won by reahma, and he did get his medal for that. I also think that Forza AZ is right as he considers the Qualifying Tournaments as Individual ones. Those Tournaments are big enough for that. I'm currently in a Doubles Tournament and it's 8 teams 2v2 Single elimination. So only win 3 games and 2 people get a medal. Weird that you can win a Medal that easy, and for these big Qualifying Tournaments no medals would be awarded.

You are correct, I just noticed that reahma did receive a medal. That will also be corrected.

Now, you're bringing up 2 different points here:

1.- When somebody deserves a medal

2.- Qualifying Tournaments and medals

I'll try and explain:

1.- When somebody deserves a medal

That is often a point of discussion. The answer is simple: anybody who wins a tournament that is set up according to the rules and guidelines, and is as such an official Conquer Club Tournament, gets a Tournament Achievement Medal. That can be a 16 player/5 game tournament or a 100 player/200 game tournament. There is a minimum standard and some organizers choose to set up tournaments with those minimum standards. Other set up "bigger" tournaments and obviously it will be more difficult to win it and subsequently the medal.

2.- Qualifying Tournaments and medals

Tournaments that are qualifying tournaments for one final tournament are basically like rounds in a single tournament. By winning a qualifying tournament you win round 1 and go on to the final and you don't get a medal for winning that round 1 (or phase 1). The one that wins the final tournament, wins the overall tournament and receives a Tournament Achievement Medal. Whether an organizer sets the tournament up that way is up to him or her, and it's up to players to decide if they like that and join or not. If a qualifying tournament would have a winner who receives a medal, the organizer would not be able to set up an official "final" tournament with players and winners of the various qualifying tournaments, because that "final" tournament would not be at least 50% open for the public to join. He or she could only do it as a private tournament without an official winner and without a Tournament Achievement Medal being awarded.

If somebody did receive a medal for a qualifying tournament, we'll have to correct that situation. Why did they get a medal in the first place you ask.... Well, we do make mistakes and it is often difficult for us to distinguish the standard tournaments from qualifying tournaments (especially if the TO posts a winner).

Hay blitz, on the first page, there is 35-50 and then 70-100. I think your missing 51-69. Maybe the top 100 list is actually the top 81, and you're missing the last 19?

ok, for the next update, I am just going to keep track of the players who have 6 tourney title wins or more, this is getting out of control and becoming a lot of work.
