Flex,

Just noticed that my week 17 opponent is still stuck on Week 15. One of the freemium players who's trying to keep up with the pace. Suggestion: Freemium players who are falling this far behind (i.e. Week 19 has gone out) can pick an assistant coach that can take a couple of their games. I'm sure there are freemiums who can manage the pace by taking really quick turns, but at this rate, the season will be over for at least a month before the players who can't keep up with the pace get done. This could cause problems with standings, rankings, brackets, etc. I don't mind waiting a week or 2 for everything to get settled, but a month is gonna be kind of a long wait. And I wouldn't be surprised if there are freemiums even farther behind than that. I love the size of this tournament, so I wouldn't want freemiums from being discouraged to play. But most people have some friends on this site who would probably be willing to pick up a game here and there. I think this would be a good compromise for the freemiums who fall behind. What do you think?

just forfeits when the games drop...that means no one can get more than 2 weeks behind.

How do you know which player had joined when the game drops?

I check results and game status as we go...so if you are premium stay in those slots until the game drops...and I will see that you were waiting.

On LSU...a reserve has been brought in to take his place, and is currently working through a back-log of games to get back up to speed.

Hey Flex,
Great job with this tourney. It is by far my favorite, and I look forward to it every year.
I remember last year you posted RPI rankings. Is that available this year too? I didn't seem to see it on the first page. I'm sure its a lot of work, but was just wondering.
Thanks again

yes, the top-25 is updated each week on that front post.

If you want the full RPI, hit the google link and select the tabs across the bottom of the document...it's one at the far right.

Standings and results are updated...Princeton remains our #1 team. I've also added a list of rankings for the conferences with the Ivy League being the strongest as we cross the halfway point in the regular season.

Some of you are several games back, so let's work on catching up this week.
I'll be sending out Game 20s throughout the day today.

The Buffalo Bulls have forfeited their game against #11 Toledo. Toledo was shocked to arrive at the stadium and find that the Bulls were already playing Harvard in the gym, a game originally scheduled for the previous week. Outscored 64-32 with 1/3 of the game to go, the Bulls called time out and surprised everyone by heading to the locker room and not returning. The Buffalo Athletic Department hasn't said much about the situation, but the Bulls did not show up to a game scheduled at Kent State and sources say have not made travel arrangements to head to Lasalle, their next scheduled game.

Toledo's athletic department has petitioned the NCAA to intervene in the situation, no doubt concerned about the effect of non-conference losses on their conferences strength ratings. Toledo also inquired as to what score is reported from a forfeit.

You never know how the voters might be moved. Away game, rivalry ... toughest league in the land ... how the next several highly-rateds fared ... the Tigers were 17-2 at the time of the loss. We shall see who the voters push through that door.

Got busy at work the last couple days, so Game 21s are a bit delayed...I sent about just over half of that batch tonight. If you don't have Game 21 in your inbox yet, you should be seeing it late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

thanks, flex

Haha. Two years ago your arguments may have affected the subjective Top 25 voting in your favor. Now, it's figured based soley on the RPI. Of course those factors you mention do get tabulated in the RPI. My guess is you'll go down 2 or 3 spots.

At least the RPI worked out for you in the first place to be 14-2 and be ranked 1 ahead of the 17-1 team (though you did deserve it b/c strength of schedule and performance is measured fairly accurately). In my case the RPI hasn't worked out for me. I'm the worst rated 12 win team. At 12-7 I'm down at rank 68 just 7 spots ahead of the 7-11 Akron.
