where did they get the name centerscape?? Yes, I agree the new classic map sucks!! They better have a good revamp up their sleeves or i might just quit. Oh, and can anyone explain what they did to the dice??

What has made me smile about all of this is the following:

1. The Classic map was never allowed to be improved aesthetically by any cartographer because Lack wanted the most popular map to remain his work, regardless of how outdated it looked 2-3 years on.
2. Lack employed twill as his number 2 and is reaping the whirlwind of the wicked fallout.
3. I was actually getting bored of the classic map

Do you think that Twill or lack is actually gunna read all these posts and reply to as many as poss explaning and apologysing??


if there was to be a lawsuite y dont they just use the money they get from us prems- they couldnt of spent it all!!!!!!!!

could one of you crafty computer people draw up a downloadable script that will cover up that abomination with something that at least remotely resembles a map of our planet? come on guys, i know if you can do things as great as bob and clicky maps you oughta be able to do a little something like that.

could have been preventative before the fact of an actual case as copyrights of risk and middle earth are different (parker bros vs Tolkein family?)

I cannot possibly be the first one to start this topic, but honestly didn't see it anywhere else. Anyway..

I can only assume this is because a giant copyright scare, where black clad Matrix-Agent-Smith-like goons/lawyers with dark sun glasses scared the bejeezus out of our fun & war loving Conquer Club people.. So be it..

I assume given some time we'll refine the lingo and come up with a better Classic map..

Was someone's brain hooked up to the server when it went down? How are we supposed to play on these kindergarten maps?

PLEASE tell me that this is temporary and that someone is going to come up with a new design. Also, how is a map of the earth copyrighted by Hasbro/Risk? Pretty sure it would be some kind of public domain. Just change the map so it doesn't look exactly like the one they use.

Middle Earth, I can understand. Totally copyrighted.
