EBWOP

just so you know, "ditto" usually refers to dittoeevee, a player even newer than myself. I don't mind people putting two t's in my name, but it can get confusing when both of us are playing a game.

only one of you are in this game, right? Thanks for the head's up, though.

actually, I thought I was the only one, but I just checked and it looks like dittoeevee is playing this game as well.

HAI!

I'm kwan.

I don't get lynched in mafia games!

Things you can do or say that would make me (or us) unvote:

Option A:Take something from one of kwan's posts and roll with it.- I said Exile would be the most likely scum in this situation. Other people had made the same point afterwards. Nothing is wrong with passing the blame as long as it is legitimate blame Notice that people started unvoting you after your claim. As soon as people started putting the pressure back onto you, you should have just raised the point that if they want to lynch a claimed historian, then they might as well lynch the one who counterclaimed an obscure role...
Also, I know I'm bringing up this point kind of late, but dito you should have noticed the fact that you gave a name and exile didn't....and you should have jumped on it.

Option 2: Go completely crazy. Trust me on this one. :D It'll make people unvote and buy you at least a day. This strategy will probably not get you to endgame, but damn it's fun to mess with people. If I'm about to die then I spread as much confusion as possible regardless of what side I'm one, cause let's face it, laughing is good for the soul.

Option D: Submarine. Submarine. Submarine. Ideally this should be done before a claim. Chances are most people will say "let's not lynch before a claim" and spot soe other scumtell that someone else did :D Honestly this may not work well without other people's metagaming or a certain reputation, but hell.....this worked pretty good for a long streak of games (until they figured out that I just jumped in at the end of the game and stole the win....bastards).

Well that's it. Hope ya learned something :D

Hmm, Kwan has a point in something: Exile not giving a name is suspicious. But I also believe with so many votes needed to lynch, it's too late to switch of wagon. If Dito comes out as what he says, I'd still tend to believe Ex however. But either way, it's not like we're losing town here...

But still, wouldn't it be better if survivors were aligned to town? Since it's normally beneficial for them to be on the side of town, wouldn't it still be somewhat like losing town?

What do you mean, survivors aligned to town? Survivors just aim at staying alive, and often the most convenient way to do this is supporting a scum win. Not openly of course but scum win = game ends sooner as they usually overpower the town instead of the town having to hunt down every scum = easier to survive.

Yes, but with scum trying to wipe out the town, they don't know that a survivor is a survivor, and so you could be NKed quite easily. It's much easier to support a town win, because you can defend yourself against town, but there's no arguing with scum because only they can PM eachother.

Somehow I'm not seeing the nomenclature-related request in there. But my name is Herodotus.

And? How hard is it to not make yourself a target? Unless you're one of the selected few "always NKed night 1" I don't see the difficulty in avoiding scum feeling you're dangerous enough to kill. On the contrary, if you support town too much, odds are scum will NK you. Of course some people including me feel it's more fun to play "as if" town and hunt scum, but it's definitely not the obvious/most efficient way to win.

My bad... I asked on page 22 or 23.... In any case, you never answered, took this long to finally respond, and are basically being defensive, snotty, and rude... ;)

My vote stays on your punk ass

Yup, love, all the way around. But the big question is, who (as in the type of person, and don't just say "mafia" ) would be doing this, maybe if we start from there, we can figure something out.

vote exile, as we're nearing a deadline, and he is most suspicious (besides maybe myself? :? ).

In all honesty, exile is seeming mildly scummy [very convenient role to claim] and flores is looking more and more like a lyncher. :?

Two rival historians from the same period in the same country, one pushing for the others lynch, something seems quite odd about this, never the less I believe if one of them is telling the truth it would verify both of their roles as true.
