So, no one even appreciated the ambiguity of my post, regarding number 4? And then Player just tosses it out for her awful summary that blows? Is ambiguity too confusing for you to grasp, Player?

AHEM

Since Saxi is neither a native Brit, nor a native American... him liking North Korea does not prove the Baron wrong.

The nobody I believe (based on the thread) would refer to Americans and English.

I know this is "Americans and English" thread so I hate to barge in, however, in point of correction:

Winston Churchill was one of the greatest war criminals of the 20th century.

The Nuremberg rope would have been much better spent on that child murdering, fat blobs neck than Gen. Jodl.

Your suggestion to the contrary is so completely at-odds with any notion of respectable history that I can't even compose myself enough to enunciate a reply! (Saxi speechless?! :o It just happened ...)

Pray tell the war crimes of which you speak?

Likely you will say things like carpet-bombing and all the associated general ramnifactions of war... people starving, not getting proper medical care, etc.

is there something else?

Maybe (if King Doctor hasn't put me on ignore) we can open this dicussion to defending Roman Polanski, and condeming Churchill. That would be rich.

Either Saxi is a genius... and this is the casebook example of the victor writing history.

... or he is completely by his dislike for all-things anglo-saxon, therefore feels justified in making this ridiculous comparison.

I vote option # 2.

The only valid comparison between these two men would be their leadership skilz. Past that there is none.

That could be argued.

Too bad both those great bands did not have the longevity to put out more than one decent album each.

I giggled... it IS an accurate statement... don't know why it's not on the list anymore.

You forgot to mention that it's embarrasing to forget your pants, and that fannies are nice. Also I prefer people too enjoy their fags in private, and grills get hot and are a good way of cooking.

Actually, I did. I deleted it only because, well... my bias. I am not particularly into sports.

However, living in a family of definite football heads (you can decide which version), I am reinstituting it in my list.

while it is correct that they will both agree on that statement, both will have completely opposite ideas of what the latter really means.

Hey I just remembered...

We agree that the greatest leader of the 20th Century (all time) was Winston Churchill... and we both agree that he was half American. ;)

Does your average Englishman know that Winston's mom was an American?

perhaps the subject should read ...

Ten things upon which Americans and the English agree.

instead of

10 things American and the English agree on.

I hate to make that suggestion to the inventor of the English language so do with it as you choose.
