Standings are updated...and the playoff picture is starting to take shape.

Remember, each division winner gets a first round bye.

The wildcard spots will go to teams #3 thru #6 in each conference.

Oh, and notice we have our first tie of the season, as Dallas and Cleveland went to 13 rounds on their OT map.

Standings updated...thought I'd also offer a basic look at the playoff picture.

In the NFC, division leaders Rams and Vikings are comfortably in front, and if the season ended now all four wildcards would come out of the North Division.

In the AFC, division leaders Bengals and Chargers are comfortably in front, while four teams sit at 7-6 or 7-7 at the moment, fighting for three wildcard spots. Baltimore in two games clear for the top wildcard. And there are still a handful of other teams that still have hope in the AFC.

Happy New Year all!!!

Standings are updated.
I'm hoping to get some sort of playoff scenarios out when I send the last regular season games, but still quite a few questions with results still in question.

Looking ahead...
In the AFC ... Buffalo @ Denver has the look of a winner advances finale, while Houston @ Jacksonville could be similar.
In the NFL ... also crowded with consequential games ... San Fran @ Philly, LA Rams @ Dallas and Washington @ Detroit could all decide teams fates.

Week 18 games have all been sent.

Last chance to make your push for the playoffs.

For those players who are out of the picture, enjoy the end of the regular season and thank you for playing.

I'll be making another NFL season next year (hopefully attracting the full 32 teams)

The playoff picture is clearing up nicely with just two spots still contested on the NFC side.

Seeding still needs to be sorted out, then we'll get the brackets posted and get the postseason in gear.

All right, this is a bit rushed.

But playoff scenario surrounding Week 18 in the NFC.

Philadelphia beats San Fran

Eagles go in as the No. 4 seed
Dallas gets the No. 5 seed
Detroit is the No. 6 seed

San Fran beats Philly

Dallas gets the No. 4 spot
San Fran gets the No. 5 spot
Philly gets the No. 6 spot.

***Once games go final, I'll doublecheck tiebreakers and such, but I'm pretty sure this is the scenario

Bracket is posted for the AFC side...with wildcard matchups sent out.

NFC seeding is still up in the air, so we'll get that bracket posted once it's all set.

I have posted the playoff bracket. I am 99.5% sure San Fran has done enough to win its Week 18 game.

That left three NFC teams at 9-8.

San Fran got the first tiebreaker with a head-to-head win over Philly.
Philly gets the #6 and final spot based on a better NFC record than the Lions 7-6 vs. 6-7.

And congrats to *Pixar* for winning our first prize 300 CC credits for best point differential during the regular season.

Congrats to the Cincinnati Bengals (*pixar*) on reaching the AFC title game.
And to the LA Rams (b00060) and the Minnesota Vikings (viperoverlord) on reaching the NFL title game.



Just one divisional playoff remaining and we'll have our final four teams.

And the AFC and NFC championship games are active. No surprises in this season's bracket as the #1 and #2 seeds on both sides have advanced.

And our Super Bowl is set with Pixar's Cincinnati Bengals taking on ViperOverLord's Minnesota Vikings.

That's a 16-3 team going up against 15-4 in a battle between the top seeds in each conference

Congrats to ViperOverLord and the Minnesota Vikings who finished with a 16-4 record and a 29-17 win in last weekend's Super Bowl game.

Also, a congrats to Super Bowl runner-up *Pixar* and the Cincinnati Bengals, who were runners-up also with a 16-4 record.

Look for the NFL season again next year. All players who finished .500 or better will get an invite to return with the team of their choice before open sign-ups for the 2024 season.
