Except that Black is to African American as White is to Caucasian... both of the informal names are references to shades of skin color, while the PC names are references to supposed places of origin; The Caucasus are a real place!

Funny thing is that Caucasus derives from Greek and is a reference to the white ice caps of the mountains, while Africa is derived from Latin from the name of a king the Romans had early contact with.

yea, and black people first came to America from AFRICA.

I was just trying to point out to the author that every ethnic group has a name of origin, like African-American, Caucasian... So his question is really silly.
