I'm a Christian, but I don't believe that leading a good and honest life should have a reward. That's a bad reason to be a Christian, in my opinion.

I wanna stay in my bone-box. Plenty of peace and quiet.
Unfortunately, that's not an option.

Jay, you've never met anyone who has died and known. Quite frankly we don't know what our options are. You always complain about people belittling the Christian beliefs, now stop belittling his.
Wow. That's belittling Rev? Try this then...
You're dumb.I bet I'm like, the baddest insulter the world has ever seen now.
Quite frankly, everyone has a belief in what their options are. His beliefs are as real to him as yours are to you. He knows what his options are, and you believe that one cannont know. Just because one doesn't know something exists is not proof in anyway of it's existence nor non-existence. And now I've joined the ranks of the belittlers.
No Serbia, jay
believes he knows what the options are. Same as many others, whether they believe they will go to paradise or hell, become one with god or simply not exist anymore. They all believe, but they don't know.
edit: and yes, you are the "baddest" insulter the world has seen yet.

I am not a Christian; not even close. That said; I love Christians in my life, my neighborhood and my country.
Nothing, and I mean *nothing*, makes a neighbor act more right than the forces of them believing in Christianity.
God bless Jesus.

I think my usage of the word fascist was maybe a little irregular, maybe I should have used ""righteous"
I don't think that even if they were correct, that it would be ok to force your believes onto another person, whilst using scare-mongering threatening languaga. I'm not the kinda cat that likes being told that I am going to hell, if I dont follow a different path to my already flawless and decent existance.
I agree, they are catagorically incorrect.

The only problem I see with christians is that you can't say 'nailed you' when they get busted.
speaking of which, do you think the cops said 'you just got nailed' to Jesus when they arrested him?

Dirty whores aren't going to be much good if they're crunchy and break when you try to mount them.

That's why Christians don't masturbate, it would be a little awkward following this command otherwise.

Witty, but I thought it was because of Leviticus 15:16... or maybe because it makes Jesus cry

real reason there are tears in heaven*

I'm pretty sure that they're sitting on the second tier, and trapped in a huge and eternal storm... no fire here, sry. (storm symbolic of power and unpredictability of lust)

hmmm, no.
hereis a good example:
10 green men are very proud to be green, They believe that being green will make them better people, and that they will go to heaven for being green, and reading a book about being green.
Every time they see a blue person, they tell the blue person that unless they turn green, and read their little green book, then they are going to hell. Theblue person is already leading a fairly decent life, but is now being gently threatened by green people.
Blue people then begin to resent green people for being annoying.
ahh, thats better.

There is an excellent quote in the latest Viz magazine on this very subject. If anyone has a copy to hand, then post it - otherwise, I'm posting this to remind myself to look it up when I get back in from work...

Your example is lacking somethings.
Don't you find that there's a tendancy for other people, some green some blue some other colours you failed to mention, to read the little book and interpreted it to mean you dont need to be any colour? Colour and behaviour is not relevant because everyone is bad sometimes.
This group claims the person in the second part of the book (that might have even been blue in body) died for everyone, especially the blue ones. In addition he comanded everyone to love the other colours as if they are the same colour as you are.
He even said there will be a lot of green people that come up to him in heaven. Excited to be there, having been green all their life. Just to be turned away for being mean to the blue people and neglecting to love them.
[quote="Matthew 25:42-46 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
blue people added
Public Domain"] 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of least of these,
like the blue people, ye did it not to me.
46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.[/quote]
When the green people meet the other people that have the same book but interpret it differently. The human nature of the green people causes them to get frightened because they have allways thought they were right. How could you possibly get to heaven without being green?
Deep down they may realise they have been wrong but can't let go of what they allways thought was right. That makes them angry, then they fight because of diferences in interpretation.

Well if there are only 10 green men and your blue man has spoken to all of them perhaps not. In this case, however, there are 2 billion or so green men. They come in all different shades of green (Teal, Aquamarine, even Blue-Green), and you can hardly say that all or even most spend a significant part of their lives telling the blue men that they are going to Hell because they aren't green. While I'm certainly sorry that you chose to be friends with one of the green guys that does, He does not speak for all greendom.
If you have come across one or two people who have told you this, I am sorry and do not condone it. You have created a stereotype of all green people based on this though. Whatever you believe your reasons to be this does make you a greenist.
